Zala is a male baboon. He is an elder of Rafiki's former troop.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Zala lived in the Great Valley as part of a baboon troop. At some point in his life, he became an elder.[1]
Rafiki's exile[]
One night, a cheetah climbed into the baboons' tree and nearly made off with one of their own. In response, the elders blamed Rafiki's premonitions. Though Junia leaped to Rafiki's defense, the elders called for a vote on his banishment, and the troop nigh-unanimously voted to exile him.[1]
Physical appearance[]
Zala is a thin baboon with patchy fur. His pelt is brown, white, and tan, while his eyes are orange.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Zala is distrustful of Rafiki's visions and blames him for the troop's bad fortune.[1]
