Woody Woodeater III and Timon walked through the jungle together, cracking jokes. Before long, the two ran into Pumbaa, and Timon told Pumbaa that he was helping out Woody. After Woody introduced himself to Pumbaa, Timon took his friend behind the bushes and told him that they were going to eat all the termites after returning Woody to his mound.
While en route to Woody's termite mound, the group endured different weather patterns, including snow, rain, and intense heat. Afterward, Woody told Timon and Pumbaa that he appreciated their help and that he would throw a celebration once he returned to his mound. Timon figured that the rest of the journey should be easier, but no sooner had he said this when a strong gust of wind blew Woody away. Timon and Pumbaa rescued the termite but soon realized that they were in mid-air.
Woody, Timon, and Pumbaa fell down and landed in the ocean. Woody suddenly realized that they were not far from his termite mound and asked Timon to check how close they were. While Timon followed Woody's orders, the termite told Pumbaa that he suspected that Timon only wanted to help him so he could eat him and his family, which made Pumbaa feel shocked and guilty. Woody suddenly felt guilty about his suspicions and urged Pumbaa not to tell Timon what he had said, and Pumbaa begrudgingly agreed to keep the termite's secret.
Just then, Timon returned and informed Woody and Pumbaa that the termite mound was straight ahead. When the group arrived at the mound, Woody's family was delighted, and the termites celebrated their king's return. Woody made his children thank Timon and Pumbaa for helping him out, which made Pumbaa feel even more guilty about Timon's plans. He soon started to freak out and proclaim that he was a coward and that he could not keep secrets.
After hearing Pumbaa's words, Woody asked Timon about Pumbaa's secret. Timon was about to reply when an angel Timon and devil Timon appeared on his shoulders and argued over whether he should tell Woody the truth. While the angel and devil argued, an angel Pumbaa and devil Pumbaa appeared on Timon's shoulders as well. After all four angels and devils got into a fight and disappeared, Timon, now as guilty as Pumbaa, revealed his secret to Woody.
Honored by Timon and Pumbaa's honesty, Woody repaid them by telling them that, instead of them devouring him and his family, he could make them a home-cooked meal. However, the meal was revealed to be a tree stump, which Timon and Pumbaa did not like but reluctantly ate anyway.[1]
