Wiseguy is a male owl.
After a tree branch blocked Wiseguy's nest, Simba and his friends, Timon and Pumbaa, arrived and freed him. Afterward, Wiseguy accepted a ride from Simba, during which he helped the three friends avoid several hazards. At one point, Wiseguy prophesied about a coming darkness, which turned out to be an eclipse.

Early life[]

Friendship with Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa[]
Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa save Wiseguy.
During a storm, a tree branch fell in front of Wiseguy's nest, trapping him inside. Desperate for help, he screeched loudly until Simba and his friends, Timon and Pumbaa, arrived and removed the tree branch from in front of the owl's nest. Upon catching his first glimpse of Simba, a full-grown lion, Wiseguy grew anxious to leave, but he was unable to fly away due to fatigue and general weakness. Seeing Wiseguy in distress, Simba offered him a ride on his back, and the owl begrudgingly accepted the offer.
Together, the group set off. Along the way, Pumbaa spotted a mud hole and insisted on stopping to wallow. Wiseguy, however, warned the warthog to keep away from the mud, and the friends realized that it was actually quicksand. Grateful to the owl, the three friends praised his intelligence, then continued on their way.

Throughout the rest of their trip, Wiseguy helped the trio with various activities, which made Timon jealous. Eventually, Timon asked Wiseguy if there was anything that he did not know, and the owl commented mysteriously about a coming darkness. Hoping to sound more intelligent than Wiseguy, Timon indicated a dark cloud, and Wiseguy warned the friends to take cover.
Before long, a cloud of locusts descended on the savanna, and the friends raced for shelter. Once safely inside a cave, the group observed an eclipse, which fulfilled Wiseguy's prophecy about a coming darkness. Astounded that Wiseguy had known so much about the eclipse, the friends began to question him, only to find that he had disappeared.[1]
Physical appearance[]
Wiseguy is a small and portly owl. He has russet feathers, with a lighter patch of feathers on his chest and face. He has a small goatee, a yellow beak, black eyes, and yellow claws.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Wiseguy is intelligent and experienced. He is a bit prideful, as he did not initially want to accept help from Simba. However, he eventually relented and befriended Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa.[1]
