A group of zebras approach the Lion Guard, informing them of a wildfire that is spreading across the savanna. They fret that one of their herd members is trapped in the flames, and Kion promises to rescue her.
The Lion Guard approaches the fire, only to find that visibility is poor. Ono attempts to locate the zebra from above, but is forced to descend once more due to the dense smoke. Kion then decides that they must cut through the flames, to which Fuli adds that it would be better to split up. While Kion and Bunga take one route through the fire, Ono leads Beshte and Fuli down another path.
Kion and Bunga's path
While searching for the zebra, Bunga calls out to her and hears a reply through the flames. Eventually, Kion and Bunga locate the zebra surrounded by flames and guide her out of danger. Once to safety, the zebra is relieved for having been rescued.
Beshte, Fuli, and Ono's path
As Beshte, Fuli, and Ono search for the zebra, they notice Mzingo circling overhead. Fuli deduces that the vultures must have located the zebra, to which Ono adds that they can use this to their advantage. They follow Mzingo to where the zebra is, and Fuli promptly shoos Mzingo away.
The zebra is safely returned to her herd, while Kion prepares to use the Roar of the Elders to put out the fire. However, before he can roar, a rainstorm moves in, putting out the flames. Fuli comments that the rain will bring new life to the Pride Lands.
Just then, the zebras return and inform the Lion Guard that one of their herd members is trapped on the other side of a flooded river. Bunga wishes for a break, but Beshte comments that he knows the river well. Fuli and Kion merely laugh.
