Who Wants to be King of the Jungle? is a feature that was included in the Special Edition of The Lion King 1½. It was inspired by Who Wants to be a Millionaire?.
Gameplay[]
Who Wants to be King of the Jungle? is a question game in which the viewer must answer 10 questions correctly in a row in order to win the grand prize: 100 pounds of grubs. Each question is related to The Lion King film franchise. Questions increase in difficulty as the player moves up the Food Chain, a parody of the Money Tree in Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Several characters are featured in the game. Timon serves as the player, while several other characters can be called for help, such as Pumbaa and Zazu, using the Poll the Herd lifeline.
To assist Timon in answering all 10 questions, he is provided with three lifelines. They are 50:50, Phone an Animal, and Poll the Herd. The 50:50 lifeline removes two incorrect answers, leaving one incorrect answer and the correct answer. Phone an Animal allows Timon to phone Rafiki, Ma, Pumbaa, or Zazu for help. Poll the Herd allows you to see what the audience thinks is the correct answer, displayed on bar graphs made of grubs. If the player ends up incorrectly answering one question, they must restart from the beginning, regardless of how far they have gotten.
