History[]

Simba's lie[]

Step lively! The sooner we get to the water hole, the sooner we can leave.
Zazu to Simba and Nala[src]

After Scar "accidentally" let slip that there was an elephant graveyard on the outskirts of the Pride Lands, Simba ran off to tell his best friend, Nala. He used the water hole as a distraction, lying to his mother and Nala's mother about where he really wanted to go with Nala. The parents agreed to let the cubs go, but only if Zazu tagged along. While the cubs followed Zazu to the water hole, they plotted to lose him and escape to the Elephant Graveyard.[1]
