After Scar "accidentally" lets it slip that there's an elephant graveyard on the outskirts of the Pride Lands, Simba is fascinated by the idea and runs off to tell his best friend, Nala. He uses the water hole as a distraction, lying to Sarabi and Sarafina about where he really wants to go with Nala. The parents agree but only if Zazu tags along. While the cubs follow behind Zazu to the water hole, they come up with a plan to get rid of the hornbill, where the song "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" is performed.
