Uroho is a male baboon. He is the leader of the Traveling Baboon Show.
Along with his companions, Mwevi and Mwizi, Uroho put on performances in the Pride Lands so he could steal food while the Pride Landers were distracted. Eventually, Ono uncovered the troop's operation, and so the baboons were forced to flee to the Outlands. There, they nearly got eaten by a clan of hyenas, but the Lion Guard came to their rescue. As a gesture of gratitude, Uroho, Mwevi, and Mwizi returned the food that they had stolen to the Pride Landers.

Traveling Baboon Show[]

While patrolling the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard noticed several animals taking off in the same direction. The team followed the commotion to where a group of Pride Landers had gathered beneath a tree. Mbeya explained that the animals had gathered to see a troop of performing baboons.
Just then, Mwevi and Mwizi leaped out of the tree and began performing impressive tricks for their spectators. Uroho soon joined them and formally introduced his troop as the Traveling Baboon Show. The troop proceeded to show off their amazing feats and talents.
After the show, the Lion Guard approached Uroho and congratulated him on an entertaining show. At first, Uroho was receptive to their thanks, but when Kion mentioned that he was the son of King Simba, the baboon became uncomfortable and took off in a hurry.
With the troop otherwise occupied, the Lion Guard returned to their patrol. Along the way, they heard Ma Tembo crying for help and followed her voice to where a tree had been completely stripped of its flowers and leaves. In the face of the Pride Landers' panic, the Lion Guard resolved to find the thief and restore order to the Pride Lands.
Just then, the Lion Guard heard the Traveling Baboon Show making a clamor in the distance and decided to watch the show in order to see if the thief was in attendance. While the other Lion Guard members gathered around the show, Ono patrolled from the air and caught Mwevi and Mwizi stealing food from a nearby tree while Uroho continued to run the show. The baboons realized that they had been caught and returned to Uroho.
Ono attempted to tell Kion what he had discovered, but the baboons grabbed him from the audience and began tossing him back and forth so as to cut off his report. Eventually, Ono was able to wrest himself free and declared to the rest of the Lion Guard that the troop was guilty of stealing the Pride Landers' food. Kion commanded Beshte to shake the troop's tree, which revealed the mounds of fruit and leaves that they had been stealing.
In the face of their guilt, Uroho, Mwevi, and Mwizi fled, and the Lion Guard chased them across the Pride Lands. In the midst of the chase, the baboons scared a herd of antelope into scattering, and two of the antelope fell into a nearby river. The Lion Guard halted their chase in order to save the antelope, and the baboons managed to escape into the Outlands.
Meanwhile, in the Outlands, Cheezi and Chungu complained about how hungry they were. Just then, they overheard music in the distance and followed the sound to where Uroho was putting on a show for a meager audience of Outlanders. While Uroho distracted the Outlanders, Mwevi and Mwizi attempted to steal food from the volcano but got caught by Janja, who began to chase them through the Outlands.
Back in the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard reflected on the Traveling Baboon Show and how the baboons had turned out to be thieves. In the midst of the conversation, Ono spotted Mwevi and Mwizi being chased by Janja in the Outlands. Kion was loath to get involved in another kingdom's problems, but Ono pointed out that Uroho and the troop had only entered the Outlands because they had been being chased by the Lion Guard. This made Kion decide to save the troop.
Meanwhile, Cheezi and Chungu continued to watch Uroho's show in fascination. Suddenly, Janja ran by and ordered them to help him catch the baboons. The hyenas gave chase, and the Lion Guard followed their trail to where they had cornered the baboons in a cavern. The team defeated Janja and his lackeys, and Uroho thanked the Lion Guard for their intervention. As repayment for their past crimes, Uroho, Mwevi, and Mwizi agreed to hand out food to the Pride Landers, who were grateful to the baboons for their change of heart. As they handed out food, the baboons put on another show and used Ono as one of their props.[1]
Christmas[]
“ | ” |
One day, Fuli tried to gather berries from a tree. Her failed efforts to reach them attracted the attention of Uroho, Mwevi, and Mwizi, who volunteered to fetch them for her. The baboons questioned Fuli on why she needed the berries, and she explained that she was taking part in a Christmas celebration. This reminded her that the performance required baboons, and so she recruited the three to be involved in the show.
That night, Uroho, Mwevi, and Mwizi attended Bunga's rehearsal. The next morning, they took part in the "The Twelve Ways of Christmas" performance.[2]
Physical appearance[]
Though not as stocky as Mwevi and Mwizi, Uroho is tall and broad-shouldered, with caramel-brown fur. He has a cream-colored underbelly and muzzle, a dark brown stripe on his forehead, and a coral pink nose.[1]
Personality and traits[]
A true con artist, Uroho is slick and quick on his feet. He takes pride in his acrobatic skills and likes to show off to large audiences. When faced with danger, Uroho can be a bit of a coward. However, he is not without nobility, as he expressed gratitude to the Lion Guard after they saved him from the hyenas and even returned all the food that he had stolen to the Pride Landers.[1]
