Peace is celebrated and renewed

Many dry seasons ago, Askari, leader of the first Lion Guard, made peace with the elephants. Working together, the lions and elephants made the Pride Lands a safe home for everyone who respects the Circle of Life. It is this peace that we celebrate tonight.

Information[]

Concept[]

The Ukumbusho Tradition is meant as a celebration of the peace established between the elephants and lions of the Pride Lands. The ceremony consists of a skit put on by the elephants and the Lion Guard, in which the history of the event is reenacted.

History[]

Peace was originally established between elephants and lions during Askari's leadership of the Lion Guard. It was he who made the initial bond with the elephants.

The Lion Guard dresses up as the first Lion Guard during the ceremony

Ma Tembo, the leader of the elephants, plans to put on the Ukumbusho Tradition for the first time since she was young. She declares that it is Simba's first ceremony. However, during the festivities, Makini accidentally uses flower paints, which attracts the attention of a colony of bees. The insects nearly ruin the celebration until the Lion Guard saves the elephants from stampeding and leads them back to Mizimu Grove. There, they reenact the event before the royal family.
