History

The Lion Guard

"The Lost Gorillas"

The Lion Guard meets Hafifu and Majinuni, the princes of the Theluji Mountains, who proclaim that they have an important message for Simba from their father, Sokwe. The Lion Guard leads the gorillas to Pride Rock, where Kion relates the situation to Simba. To Kion's surprise, Simba agrees that the message is important and explains that every wet season, King Sokwe informs Simba if their two kinds are still at peace or not.

Just then, the brothers come before Simba, but when prompted to relay their message, they admit that they have forgotten it. With this news, Simba is forced to ask Kion to deliver the gorillas back home to the Theluji Mountains and find out what Sokwe's message is. Kion wonders if the brothers should return home themselves and bring back the message again, but Simba points out that peace with the gorillas should not rely on Hafifu and Majinuni.

Eventually, the gorillas lead the Lion Guard to the Theluji Mountains, where the team becomes enchanted with the snow. During their romp in the snow, Kion slips on a steep patch of ice and nearly falls off a perilous cliff. However, he is saved at the last minute by Hafifu and Majinuni.

After the rescue, the brothers take the Lion Guard to see Sokwe, who praises his sons' for their bravery. He then sends the Lion Guard back to the Pride Lands with a declaration of peace for Simba.

"Beshte and the Beast"

The Theluji Mountains are referenced by Shujaa when he explains that Sokwe sent him to help the Lion Guard in their fight against Scar.

Trivia

  • "Theluji" means "snow" in Swahili.[1]
  • The Theluji Mountains bear a striking resemblance to White-top, a similarly situated snow-capped mountain located just outside the Pride Lands.
