The Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa is an American animated television series that aired from September 16, 1995 – January 1, 1999, produced by the Walt Disney Television Animation and aired on CBS and Disney Channel. It features Timon and Pumbaa as the main characters and has cameos of characters from Disney's The Lion King, such as Simba and Scar in the special episode Around the World with Timon & Pumbaa.

Premise

The show stars Timon, a meerkat, and Pumbaa, a warthog, both characters from the Disney animated film The Lion King and its sequels. Taking place after the events of the original film, it focuses on the characters having misadventures in the jungle, and sometimes finding themselves across the globe in various settings.

Speedy the Snail

A snail that Timon and Pumbaa will never eat, due to his talking and singing. He appeared in the episode, "French Fried", "Ocean Commotion" and "The Man From J.U.N.G.L.E.".

Fred

Timon's joking meerkat friend. He appeared in "Once Upon a Timon", "Mind Over Matterhorn", "Tanzania Zany", and "Mombasa-In-Law".

Irwin

An accident-prone penguin who appeared in "Frantic Atlantic" and "Shopping Mauled".

Ned the Elephant

An elephant that appeared in "Uganda Be an Elephant" and "Unlucky in Lesotho".

Jumbo Jumbo the Elephant

Another elephant that appeared in "Good Mousekeeping" and "Zazu's Off Day Off".

Nefu

Rafiki's nephew. He appeared in "Rafiki's Apprentice" and "This Chore's a Bore".

The Meerkat Angel

An angel in Meerkat Heaven. He appeared in "Timon's Time Togo".

Duke Meerkat

He is the ruler of the Meerkat Colony and father of Tatiana. He appeared in "Once Upon a Timon".

Tatiana

She is the only princess in the Meerkat Colony. She appeared in "Once Upon a Timon".

Sharla

The leader of Pumbaa's sounders. She appeared in "Home is Where the Hog Is".

King Leopold

King of the Leopards and the father of Princess Claudia, he appeared in the episode "No-Good Samaritan".

Princess Claudia

Daughter of the King of the Leopards, she appeared in the same episode as her father, "No-Good Samaritan".

Lester the Whale

He is a wish-granting whale. He appeared in "Be More Pacific".

Mother Eagle

She is the mother of Baby Earl, and appeared in the episode "To Kilimanjaro Bird".

Baby Earl

Mother Eagle's child and appeared in the episode, "To Kilimanjaro Bird".

Uncle Boaris

Pumbaa's uncle who lives in Russia. He appeared in "Russia Hour".

Savage Lion

A meat-eating lion who appeared in "You Ghana Join the Club".

Bruce

A giant blue crab with a big orange mustache. He appeared in "Back Out in the Outback".

Pumbaa Jr.

A baby alligator who hatches from an egg Pumbaa thinks he laid and which Timon believes to be an "ugly chicken". He appeared in "Never Everglades".

Rita Book

A grumpy old librarian who appeared in "Shopping Mauled", "Library Brouhaha", and "I Think I Canada".

Gopher

A gopher who gives Zazu the "underground news", who also makes a brief appearance in the film. He appeared in "Zazu's Off Day Off" and "Zazu's Off-by-One Day".

Dr. Happy

A kid genius who likes to help animals. He appeared in "Let's Serengeti Out of Here" and "Shake Your Djibouti".

The Pink Rabbit

He appeared in "Africa-Dabra!" and "Mojave Desserted".

Boss Beaver

He is a boss and he is a beaver, therefore he is Boss Beaver. He appeared in "Maine-Iacs", "Amusement Bark", and "Oregon Astray".

Stink

A stinkbug with a Beatles hairstyle. He appeared in "Rocky Mountain Lie".

Herman

A wildebeest who is in love with a gazelle named Lara. He appeared in "Beauty and the Wildebeest".

Lara

A gazelle who is in love with an ugly wildebeest named Herman. She appeared in "Beauty and the Wildebeest".

Bartholomew

A scientific monstrous experiment created by Dr. Happy who eventually escaped into the jungle. He appeared in "Shake Your Djibouti".

Cisco Pig

A bandit warthog from the Old West. He appeared in "Timon on the Range".

Madame Credenza

A gypsy moth who puts a curse on Timon which will not take effect until the next morning. She appeared in "Beetle Romania".

Leslie Lambeau

A supermodel who appeared in "Stay Away from my Honey!" and "It Runs Good".

Cheetata and Cheetato

A pair of sophisticated cheetahs that appeared in "The Laughing Hyenas" segment: "Cooked Goose," "Boary Glory Days," and "Gabon with the Wind."

The Vulture Police

They appeared in "Yosemite Remedy," "I Don't Bolivia", "Shopping Mauled", "Alcatraz Mataz," "Wide Awake in Wonderland", and "The Law of the Jungle".

Smolder the Bear

Not exactly one of Timon and Pumbaa's enemies, but he does get grumpy very easily, whether it's getting a wrong order for food or waking him up from a nap, he will always threaten to do something very horrible, especially when Timon dupes him. He appeared in "Slalom Problem", "Jailhouse Shock", "Ready, Aim, Fire", "Dapper Duck Burgers", "Don't Wake the Neighbear", "It Runs Good", and "Stay Away from my Honey!"

Little Jimmy

A cute, yet dangerous bluebird. He appeared in "Nest Best Thing" and "Jailhouse Shock".

Ned the Elephant

An elephant that came out in "Uganda Be an Elephant" and "Unlucky in Lesotho".

The Three Natives

Three natives who are really college kids looking for a job. They came out in "Boara Boara", "Beast of Eden", "Mozam-Beaked", and "New Guinea Pig".
