Tesma is a female meerkat. She is a member of the Komboli Rangers. She is the mate of Timon.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Tesma became mates with Timon, with whom she had several children. They lived in a termite mound as members of the Komboli Rangers.[1]
Friendship with Simba[]
One night, Simba spoke to the Great Spirit near Tesma's family's termite mound. Timon investigated the noise, and his family soon followed. In the face of the meerkats' confusion, Simba explained that he was a lion. Afterward, Timon told him to be quiet and threatened to "kick his butt" if he did not, after which he and his family filed back into their home.
Later, Tesma served as a sentry while Simba lounged nearby. Before long, she and Timon switched places. During Timon's watch, a snake attacked, and the Komboli Rangers worked together to bury the intruder in dirt. However, a marshal eagle took advantage of the situation to snatch up one of the meerkats, which devastated the colony.
Later, Tesma spotted the marshal eagle returning and alerted her fellow meerkats. In order to bait the eagle, Timon pretended to limp, and when the eagle swept closer, Simba leaped at it from the underbrush and brought it down for good. Following Simba's victory, the meerkats thanked and praised him and told him that he would always be welcome in their colony.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Tesma is dedicated and serious. She is a loving mate and mother who cares deeply for her family and does everything she can to protect them.[1]
