Tatiana is a female meerkat. She is the princess of the Duke Meerkat's colony. She is the daughter of the Duke Meerkat and the former mate of Timon.
One day, when the Duke Meerkat left the colony, Tatiana got kidnapped by a cobra. Because he had abandoned his post and thus allowed for the tragedy to take place, Timon got banished from the colony. Along with his new friend, Pumbaa, Timon rescued Tatiana and brought her safely back to the Duke Meerkat's colony.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Tatiana was born to the Duke Meerkat. She was the princess of a colony of meerkats in a meerkat kingdom.[1]
Kidnapped by a cobra[]
One day, the Duke Meerkat departed the colony, and Fred was left in charge of the castle's security. Meanwhile, Timon, who was guarding the back gate, daydreamed about Tatiana. While Timon stood at his post, Fred showed up and convinced Timon that, with the Duke Meerkat gone for the day, he had an opportunity to speak with Tatiana. At first, Timon did not approve of Fred's suggestion, as he feared that he would get banished if he left his post, but Fred told him that he would not get banished if he did not get caught. After thinking the idea over, Timon agreed to Fred's plan and set up a mop dummy at the back gate to trick any potential predators. In the meantime, he abandoned his post to speak with Tatiana.
Tatiana is held captive by the cobra.
However, when Timon entered the colony, a cobra showed up and saw through the dummy trick. While Timon was taking a shower in preparation for his date with Tatiana, the cobra invaded the colony and kidnapped the princess. After the attack, Fred held up Tatiana's tiara in front of the colony, which made the meerkats believe that she was dead. The Captain of the Guard questioned how Tatiana could have been killed, as nothing had passed through the front gate, and Fred brought up the possibility of an infiltration through the back gate. This made the meerkats realize that Timon was strangely absent.
When the guards discovered that Timon had abandoned his post, Timon attempted to escape them. However, he ran into the Duke Meerkat, who had heard about Tatiana's purported death. Enraged over the unnecessary loss, he put Timon on trial, then banished him from the colony.
Tatiana and Timon are briefly engaged.
After his banishment, Timon met Pumbaa and developed a friendship with him. The two soon discovered that Tatiana was being held captive by the cobra. Timon reasoned that if he rescued the princess, he would be accepted back into his colony, marry Tatiana, and live a glamorous life. He added that Pumbaa would be accepted into the colony as well, which made the warthog agree to help him save the princess.
After Timon and Pumbaa defeated the cobra and rescued Tatiana, the three returned to the colony, and Tatiana reunited with her father. As a reward for the good deed, the Duke Meerkat gave Timon a golden key and immense riches. Tatiana then hailed Timon as her hero and offered him her hand in marriage. However, because the Duke Meerkat had refused to accept Pumbaa as a member of the colony, Timon chose to remain in exile with his new friend. Subsequently, the Duke Meerkat exiled him from the colony once more.[1]
Physical appearance[]
Tatiana is a tall and slender meerkat, with tan fur. She has a cream chest, brown fingers and toes, brown stripes on her back, and a brown tail tip. Her hair is long, luscious, and blond, and her eyes are green. She wears a blue tiara and a blue bow in her hair.[1]

Tatiana is gentle, kind, and loving. After Timon rescued her from a cobra, she developed romantic feelings for him and believed him to be her hero. According to Timon, Tatiana loves anyone who is brave, cunning, and resourceful. However, Fred thinks that candy, flowers, and a bath are all that is needed to impress her. Tatiana enjoys painting.[1]

- In "Timon in Love", there is a female meerkat who bears a striking resemblance to Tatiana.[3]
- Tatiana is similar to Kataka from Falling in Love; both are female meerkats with whom Timon falls in love, and both get attacked by a snake, only for Timon to save their life.[4]
