Biography[]
Early life[]
Skobi lived in the Dark Continent.[1]
Monitoring Brond's pride[]
Skobi reflected on how the Dark Continent was composed of many small kingdoms and how the broad veldts were ruled by a "king of beasts," or a lion. The lion was the creator of three laws that applied to all the beasts: be alert, be fast, and be patient. While Skobi reflected on this, a herd of wildebeests ate grass, and a pride of lions monitored them. One wildebeest sniffed the air and alerted the others to run. During the resulting chase, one wildebeest fell behind the herd, and the lions hunted it down. Their king, Brond, stood above them.
With their prey caught, the lions gathered to feast, and Brond was allowed the first bite, to the annoyance of a young male named Mruki. Lisaba scolded him for this and reminded him that Brond and his mate, Sheena, were the first to eat from the carcass. However, Mruki ignored her and advanced on the fallen prey. This earned him a swipe from Weena, Sheena's younger sister, and mocking from Sheena's daughter. Mruki's annoyance was only fueled by reprimands from Skobi.[1]
