Simba and Nala's cub is an infant lion. S/he is the cub of Simba and Nala, and the grandcub of Mufasa and Sarabi. S/he is the heir of Pride Rock.
Biography
Background
Simba and Nala's cub was born after Simba returned to Pride Rock to reclaim his birthright from his usurper uncle, Scar.
The Lion King
After Simba becomes the king of the Pride Lands, he takes his betrothed, Nala, as his mate. Together, they have a cub, who is set to inherit the throne after Simba. The royal family hosts a ceremony at Pride Rock, where Rafiki holds the cub atop the promontory for the Pride Landers to see.
Behind the scenes
- The cub's gender is said to be male in the official novelization for the film.[1]
- This is contradicted by the "Pride Lands Pedia" feature on Disney+, in which the cub is identified as Kiara.
