"Simba, It's to Die For" is a musical piece composed by Hans Zimmer for The Lion King. It was released on June 24, 2014, as part of The Legacy Collection: The Lion King.

Use

In the soundtracks

"Simba, It's to Die For" was first released under the title "The Trap", as part of the complete film score. However, the album was retracted after one day. On June 24, 2014, the track was remixed and released on The Legacy Collection: The Lion King, now titled "Simba's, It's to Die For".

In the film

The score can be heard just before the stampede scene. It starts right after Scar leaves Simba in the Gorge and concludes with the hyenas leaving to startle the herd.

Behind the scenes

  • The score is immediately followed by and closely related to the score "Stampede".
