(Grunts)

(Cheezi and Chungu get off of Janja)

Madoa, do you know where Zira and her lions are?
Madoa:
They went into the Pride Lands, not long after Jasiri and Janja left to find you. We don't know what happened after that. We promised Jasiri we'd stay away from Zira, so we've been hiding.
Jasiri:
It's okay. You did the right thing.
Fuli:
But, if Zira's lions are still in the Pride Lands, something's up.
Kion:
Yeah, we need to return to the Pride Lands and see what's happened, and we'll need as much help as we can get.
Jasiri:
My hyenas will be happy to help.
Mzingo:
(Mzingo and the vultures come)I do say. Is that you, Prime Minister?
Bunga:

Mzingo:
(Mzingo bows to Jasiri) Prime Minister Jasiri. (Chuckles) Welcome back. Your presence in the Outlands has been greatly missed.

(Anga uses her vision and spots Kovu on Pride Rock) Kion! I see a strange lion on Pride Rock. Dark fur, green eyes.

That's Kovu, Zira's son.

Anga:
Yes. No sign of the Royal Family.
Fuli:

(Vitani and her Lion Guard comes into the Outlands)

No Kion, you don't understand. Kovu has joined our pride, so has Vitani, and the rest of Zira's pride.

We heard Zira was gonna attack the Pride Lands. Where is she?
Kovu:
Zira has completed her journey on the Circle of Life.
(Everyone is confused)

Kion:

Kiara:

(The scene transitions and Simba and Nala are standing on top of Pride Rock and Kion hugs them)

(Simba and Nala hug Kion)

Welcome home, son.
Nala:
But, your scar.
Kion:
I'll always have it. But, the venom is gone. I'm healed.
(The rest of the Lion Guard and Azaad walk on to Pride Rock)
Simba:
So, the journey was worth it?
Ono:
Indeed. I got my sight back!
Bunga:
The Tree of Life was Bingcredible. I mean, un-Bunga-lievable.
Beshte:
And we met lots of amazing animals.
Fuli:
(Fuli turns to Azaad) Yeah. We did.
Nala:
And, who is this?
Azaad:
(Azaad bows to Simba and Nala) I am Azaad.
Fuli:
Azaad helped us get back to the Pride Lands.
Simba:
Thank you, Azaad.
Azaad:
It was my honor, Your Majesty.
Rafiki:
(Rafiki comes up to Pride Rock but notices Makini is missing) But, not everyone has returned. Makini is not with you.
Kion:
No. She decided to stay. Queen Janna...
Rafiki:
(Laughs) Queen Janna was right! She was certain Makini's rightful place would be at the Tree of Life! Just as I was certain Makini's role would be here, in the Pride Lands.
Beshte:
I think we all found something special at the Tree of Life.
Kion:
But, when we heard Zira was headed for the Pride Lands, we came back as fast as we could. So, what happened?
Simba:
Rafiki?
Rafiki:
Yes, yes, this way.
(The scene transitions and Rafiki, Kovu and Kiara tell the story of Simba's Pride to the Lion Guard and Azaad)
Rafiki:
You will see. After Kion roared Zira's pride out of the Outlands, Zira devised a new plan to take over the Pride Lands.
Kovu:
Zira raised me to believe that Simba was our enemy. But, after I got to know Simba... and Kiara, I realized she was wrong.
Kiara:
So, Zira led an attack on the Pride Lands herself. But, Kovu and I tried to stop her. We said we didn't need to fight because, as lions, we are one.
Kovu:
Vitani and the other lions saw it was true, but Zira refused, and in the end, it destroyed her. After Zira was gone, Simba welcomed us into his pride.
(Kiara and Kovu smile at each other)
Simba:
And one day, Kiara and Kovu will be queen and king of the Pride Lands.
Kion:
We really did miss a lot.
Nala:
You did. And, we have missed you. All of you.
Rafiki:
And we are not the only ones. (Laughs) Look!
(Timon, Pumbaa and Basi come to welcome Bunga and Beshte)
Pumbaa:
Bunga! You're back!
Bunga:
Uncle Timon! Uncle Pumbaa!
Beshte:
Dad!
(Timon and Pumbaa hug Bunga)
Timon:
Hoo-hoo-ho-ho! My baby!
Rafiki:
It always feels good to return to the Pride Lands. (Rafiki hits Simba with his staff)
Rafiki:

Simba:
Yes, Rafiki.
(Upbeat music plays)
(The scene transitions and Anga flys through the Pride Lands and is happy to see Hadithi)
(The scene transtions to Hakuna Matata Falls and Bunga is with Timon and Pumbaa having Utamu. Pumbaa accidentally swallows Timon and Bunga pulls him out)
Timon:, Pumbaa: and Bunga:
(Laughing)
Elephants:
(Trumpeting)
(The scene transitions to Big Springs and Beshte and Basi are with the Elephants and Crocodile. Beshte sees Mtoto and hugs him)
(The scene transitions and Fuli shows Azaad the Pride Lands and they past Bupu's herd. The baboons jump on Fuli and Azaad)
(The scene transitions to night, Kion and family are on Pride Rock talking to Mufasa. Mufasa bows and disappears. Everyone goes into Pride Rock but Kiara sees Kion looking at stars)
(Kion looks at the Four Stars)
Kiara:
Looking at stars, Kion?
Kion:
Yeah. Those four stars helped us find our way to the Tree of Life. Seeing you with Kovu reminded me of a friend I made there.
Kiara:
A friend? Ooooh. What's her name?
Kion:
Rani. Queen Rani.
Kiara:
Ooh, a queen.
Kion:
She's smart, brave, but also kind, a great leader. You'd like her.
Kiara:
Sounds like you do, too. You miss her, don't you?
Kion:
Yeah, I do.
Kiara:
Maybe you can go back to the Tree of Life someday.
Kion:

(The scene transitions to the next morning the Lion Guard and Azaad go to their Lair)

So you think the Lair's changed much since we've been gone?

Kion:
(Chuckles) Come on, Lion Guard. (Kion sees Vitani and her Lion Guard in their Lair) Vitani?

Vitani:
I'm the future king's sister. It's my duty to lead the Lion Guard.
Kion:
Vitani, I'm the future queen's brother. We have the Mark of the Guard, and I have the Roar. We're the Lion Guard.

Pride Landers! Welcome to the battle of the Lion Guards. Kion's guard will compete with Vitani's to see which team is the best. There will be one test for each traditional Lion Guard role, the fiercest, bravest, fastest, strongest, and keenest of sight. And as the Pride Lands' smartest...

I'll be the judge. Whichever guard loses their challenge will get to set the rules for the next one. Vitani, as leader of the challenging team, your guard will have first choice.
Vitani:
Okay, strongest first. Imara?
Imara:
To prove who is strongest, Beshte and I will have to push a rock across Chakula Plains.
Bunga:
Pfft. Beshte could do that in his sleep.
Imara:
A rock with an elephant on it!
Beshte:
Huh?
(The scene transitions and Ma Tembo and Zito climb on top of rocks)
Zito:
I'm not sure how I let you talk me into this, Ma Tembo.
Ma Tembo:
Oh, Zito, hush. The contest is about to begin.
Ono:
Indeed. Imara, Beshte, first one to push that rock to that tree wins. On your marks, get set, push!
(Beshte and Imara begin to push)

(Both grunting)

You'll need to do better than that if you want to best Beshte.

(Imara grunting)

(Imara passes Beshte)

(The scene transitions and Fuli and Kasi get ready to run)

Fuli has chosen the challenge for the fastest. She and Kasi will race through the canyon, loop around, and return here to finish. On your marks, get set, run!
(Fuli and Kasi run)
Fuli:
"Huwezi!"
Kasi:
"Haraka, haraka!"
Azaad:
Go Fuli!
Kasi:
(Panting)
Fuli:
(Laughs) You had your chance. Now, I've got you. "Huwezi!" (Fuli goes faster then Kasi)
Ono:
Here they come...
(All gasps)
Kasi:
(Panting)
(Fuli wins the race)
Ono:
And Fuli wins!
(All cheer)
Anga:

Kion:
Great job, Fuli.
Azaad:
There was never a doubt.
Ono:
Keenest of sight is next. And with Fuli's win, it's Tazama's choice.
(The scene transitions and Anga and Tazama get ready to find a galago)
Ono:
On your marks, get set... Seek!
(Anga and Tazama go find the galago)
Anga:
"Anga lenga!"
Vitani:
Tazama will find where that galago's hiding in no time. She can see in total darkness.
Bunga:
Oh, yeah? Well, Anga can see in total not... dark... ness.
(Fuli looks annoyed at Bunga)
Anga:
(Anga tries to find the galago but it's too dark) (Sighs) Ugh! Which way?
Tazama:
(Tazama uses her vision and finds Laini) "Hiyo kali!"
Kion:
(Kion tries to look for Tazama and Anga) Anyone see them?
Bunga:
Nope. Too bad Anga's not here. She could see if she was coming.
(Tazama comes out with Laini on her back)
Laini:
Hooray! Tazama found me! She wins!
Tazama:
Now we're back in the lead.
Anga:
Too dark. Sorry, everyone.
Kion:
It's okay, Anga.
Bunga:
Yeah. 'Cause now, it's time for the bravest.
(The scene transitions and Bunga and Shabaha gets ready to do the challenge)
Bunga:
Now, for the must un-Bunga-lievable test of all. First, we run through Maumivu Thorn Patch. Then, we cross Urembo River. And then, we go up Makundu Cliffs. First one to grab the Baobab fruit at the top of the tree wins. Scared?
Shabaha:
Pfft. Never. looks like fun.
Bunga:
Okay, then. Ono, call it!
Ono:
On your marks, get set, go!
(All Cheering)
(Bunga and Shabaha run through the thorn bush)
Shabaha:
"Bila Hofu!" (Cackling)
Timon:
(Timon jumps) Go, Bunga, go!
Pumbaa:
You can do it!
Crocodiles:
(Growling)
Bunga:
(Bunga jumps over the crocodiles) Gotta be braver than that, Shabaha. "Zuka Zama." (Grunting)
Shabaha:
(Shabaha jumps over the crocodiles) (Speaks in other language) (Laughs)
Bunga:
Mmm, she is brave. (Laughs) (Bunga grabs the fruit but falls from the tree) Whoa. Ooh. I still win.
(The scene transitions and Kion and Vitani get ready to their challenge)
Ono:
After four tests, it's a tie. It all comes down to the fiercest, and Vitani, it's your choice.
Vitani:
I call for a Mashindano!
(All exclaim)
Bunga:
Oh, yeah! Kion will win that one for sure. Mashindano!
All:
(Chanting) Mashindano!
(Chanting continues)
Kion:
Vitani, you don't stand a chance. You haven't seen everything the Roar can do.
Vitani:
I don't need the Roar, Kion. I'm fierce enough to lead the Lion Guard without it.
Kion:
Even without the Roar? (Kion remembers Askari's words)
Askari:
(Off-screen) Only one who is willing to let go of the Roar completely...
Kion:
...can truly master it. You're right, Vitani. Everyone.
(Chanting stops)
Kion:
By choosing to face me even without the roar, Vitani has proven to be the Pride Lands' fiercest. Vitani and her team have won. They are the Pride Lands' new Lion Guard.
All:
(Gasps) Yes. Cool
Kion:
(Kion gives Vitani the Mark of the Guard) Vitani, as leader of the Lion Guard, you'll need the mark of the Guard and the Roar.
Vitani:
The Roar? (Roaring loudly) (Vitani uses the Roar of the Elders for the first time)
(All cheering)
(Everyone on Kion's team their Mark of the Guards disappear)
Bunga:
Oh.
Beshte:
Ah.
Ono:
Oh.
Fuli:
Ah!
(Kion is sad but sees Askari's spirit)
(Thunder rumbling)
Askari:
Kion.
Kion:
Askari.
Askari:
Yes, Kion. You have done well.
(Everyone is shocked to see Askari)

Askari? He was the leader of the first Lion Guard.
Bunga:
Anga, you seein' this, too?
Anga:

Askari:
By letting the Roar go, you have truly mastered it.
Kion:
Yes, Askari. But I'm not leader of the Lion Guard anymore. Why would I need the Roar?

There is another place that could use the Roar's help.

(The Tree of Life mark appears on Kion's other shoulder)

(Kion turns to his friends) Everyone, wanna join me helping Queen Rani and the Night Pride?
(The Tree of Life mark appears on Kion's friends shoulders too)
Bunga:
Yes!
Ono:
Affirmative.
Beshte:
"Poa!"
Fuli:
Yeah!
Anga:
Yup.
Bunga:

Vitani:
(Vitani comes up to Kion) But Kion, what does it mean to have mastered the Roar?
Kion:
Watch. (Kion places his paws on the ground and gets ready to roar) (Roaring Loudly)
(Everyone is in shocked as Kion uses the Roar of the Elders to lift up Pride Rock)
Vitani:
"Hevi kabisa!"
(Kion smiles at Vitani after saying his quote)
(The scene transitions and everyone gathers at the Tree of Life for Kion and Rani's wedding and Kion's coronation)
(Animals screeching)
Kion:
(Kion walks up to Queen Rani) Queen Rani?
Rani:
Kion. I'm glad the Roar has returned to the Tree of Life again.
Kion:
This time, to stay.
Rani:
I'm looking forward to ruling the Tree of Life with you.
Kion:
We'll rule it together.
(Kion walks up to Makini and Makini puts the blue paint on his forehead)
(Music starts)

(Giggles) Animals of the Tree of Life, friends from near and far, it is my honor to present King Kion.
