Renée Elise Goldsberry is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She voices Dhahabu in The Lion Guard, and played Nala in the stage musical of The Lion King.

Biography

Goldsberry graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, after which she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater from Carnegie Mellon University.[1] She graduated in 1997 from the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music, where she received a Master of Music in jazz studies.[2]

Goldsberry has been heavily involved with theatre. She played Nala in the Broadway production of The Lion King, and originated the role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton.[3]
