Flynn is most notable for providing the English voices for video game characters, such as Lea and Axel in the Kingdom Hearts series, Raiden in the Metal Gear series, Reno in Final Fantasy VII as well as its sequels and prequels, Henry in No More Heroes, and Marcus Damon in Digimon Data Squad. He was also the voice of Silver the Hedgehog in the Sonic series and Jhin from League of Legends.
His animation voice acting credits include Mickey Mouse from a few episodes of Mickey Mouse Works, Sheldon Lee and Don Prima from My Life as a Teenage Robot, Human Torch/Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four and Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and Jonny Quest in Season 2 of The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.
Flynn was born in St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. After living in Cleveland Heights until the age of 3, he and his family moved to an eastern suburb called Mayfield Village, where he was schooled from Kindergarten to grade 12 before attending Bowling Green State University and Kent State University, the latter in which he graduated from.
Flynn's personal hobbies are movies, music, pop-culture memorabilia, bowling, and answering e-mail questionnaires.
