Quint is a muscular man and an archenemy of Timon and Pumbaa. As his role varies in every episode he appears in, he has different first names that are related to what his jobs are, most of which happen to start with "C".

Biography

Backstory

The Quints in each episode of the television series have backstories of their own. Particularly in the episode "Swiss Missed," he appears as a clock inspector named Clockwork Quint. When the Swiss town chose Fronk Fegnugen to be timekeeper, Quint has been jealous of him and has been waiting for revenge ever since. As a clock inspector, when he sees that the clock is broken, he came up with an idea for revenge: firing Fronk if the clock is not fixed by noon.

"Yukon Con"

Cosco Quint

Timon and Pumbaa are in Canada looking for gold. Pumbaa is doing all the hard work, while Timon relax and reads magazines. Pumbaa doesn't think it's fair that they split the gold if he's the only one doing everything. Timon gets angry and draws a line saying that "everything he finds on his side, he can keep it, and everything Pumbaa finds on his side, Pumbaa can keep it".

Pumbaa then finds a giant gold nugget, while Timon only finds a bottle cap labeled Caribou Cola. While Pumbaa is impressed by what Timon found, the angry meerkat forces him to stay on his side of the line. While there is a conflict between Timon and Pumbaa's friendship, Quint watches Pumbaa's gold nugget from above and decides to steal it soon.

While there's a party for Pumbaa for finding the gold nugget, Timon watches from a window outside, freezing cold. Although he is jealous of Pumbaa's richness, he is too pride to go. Quint shows up and convinces Timon that the gold belongs to Timon and that he should steal it from Pumbaa. Timon is reluctant to do so since he is Pumbaa's friend, but Quint tells him not to worry about it and hatches a plan on how he can steal the gold, which is Timon distracting Pumbaa with a little "show", while Quint puts the gold in a bag.

Quint and Timon meet backstage, with Quint giving Timon the bag and running away. Pumbaa then shows up and wonders what Timon has in the bag. The guilty Timon can't keep the secret and tells Pumbaa that he stole the gold and that it's inside the bag, but when Pumbaa looks inside, the bag is empty, making Timon realize that he got tricked and the two team up to retrieve the gold nugget. While Timon and Pumbaa chase Quint (and his pet snow dog) for the gold, but end up falling but landing safely in a deep snow. When they can't to a frozen lake, they can't find Quint. Quint breaks the ice, puts a motor in the ice where Timon and Pumbaa are on and sends them away.

"How to Beat the High Costa Rica"

Criminal Quint

Quint leaps down from a plane with a suitcase containing his loot. His parachute only affects the suitcase and he plummets as the case blows into Timon and Pumbaa's campsite and replaces theirs.

Pumbaa begs his pal to get his favorite blanket from the suitcase. But after Timon looks inside, he becomes excited to see the cash. After seeing the dollar signs and thought bubbles above Timon's head, Pumbaa becomes suspicious. Timon hides the money and attempts to leave the country, only to get tripped by a tree stump which makes him accidentally let go of the suitcase and make it open by itself, with Pumbaa realizing that it is exactly $1,290,000 and it does not belong to them.

Criminal Quint shows up to claim his suitcase. Timon, being skeptical, asks Quint about the contents. The criminal easily tells the exact dollar amount in the case and shows that his name is printed on the luggage tag, which Timon takes as proof. Timon only accepts that Quint is really the owner after showing a wanted poster for identification, but he still begrudgingly relinquishes it. Criminal Quint gives them a reward of one dollar and rushes away.

While Pumbaa is happy for doing the right thing, Timon angrily snatches the dollar from the warthog, saying that they cannot buy anything with a single dollar. On the other hand, Pumbaa buys a $1 newspaper with their reward. On the front page, they see Criminal Quint's face and an article about his theft of the case. Pumbaa says that going to the police is the right thing to do but Timon tells him that, by returning the luggage to Quint, they have become accompanists. The meerkat tells him that the right thing to do would be to get the money back themselves.

Timon and Pumbaa attempt to enter Criminal Quint's house in Tennessee by first acting as a salesman. After that fails, Timon and Pumbaa disguise themselves as a baby to steal the loot, but Timon accidentally detonates a grenade. Their final plan is to enter as Santa and a reindeer. They try to give him toys, but after he tells them that it is still June, they leave, taking the toys and suitcase with them. After realizing that there is no reindeer named Pumbaa, Quint chases after them, until they are cornered at a cliff edge. Timon tosses the suitcase over the edge and Quint catches it. The meerkat reveals to Quint, who is standing in the air, that the case is actually their luggage. The criminal plummets into the prison below and becomes a convict.

"Swiss Missed"

After the clock malfunctions when Fronk leaves, Quint drives up to ensure that Fronk's clock is in excellent condition. Upon not finding Fronk, who took the job Quint desired, Quint issues an order that the clock must be working by noon or Fronk would lose his job working with clocks.

Quint later returns, believing that he will be able to take Fronk's job. However, at the stroke of noon, Timon and Pumbaa perform the jobs of the mechanical animals that were previously on the tower. Quint is enraged by what he saw and angrily leaves, meaning that Fronk can still keep his job as a timekeeper, much to his, Timon, Pumbaa, and Frieda's happiness.

"French Fried"

Timon attempts to save Speedy from Quint

After Timon and Pumbaa meet and befriend Speedy the Snail when they find out that he can talk and sing, the three get delivered to Paris, France, where they encounter Quint. who kidnaps Speedy to turn him into a meal at the Eiffel Tower. It is up to Timon and Pumbaa to rescue their new friend from Quint.

While Culinary Quint prepares to cook Speedy, who is trapped in a cage, Pumbaa interrupts by telling Culinary Quint that Jerry Lewis is here, But the chef is not convinced, saying that he is not a fan of the said celebrity. He then realizes that he got tricked as he sees that Timon just freed Speedy from the cage and the two friends escape with the snail. However, Quint manages to catch Timon and Pumbaa and throws the duo out of the Eiffel Tower. The two friends land in the Louvre Museum, where the Mona Lisa painting falls on Timon. Timon comes up with an ultimate plan to rescue Speedy.

Timon and Pumbaa disguise themselves as one costumer. Timon asks for a table for one and Culinary Quint brings him to a table and gives him a menu. Timon asks for a raw snail that is still alive with cute little gumdrop eyes and a swirly curly cue shell. This plan of rescuing Speedy almost works until Pumbaa starts talking, making Quint recognize them and throw them out of the Eiffel Tower once again.

While Culinary Quint is about to cook Speedy, Timon and Pumbaa show up on time to fight Quint for their snail friend. After Timon gets Speedy out of the pot and Speedy lands on Pumbaa's head, the meerkat runs into Quint and then falls into the pot, making him burn and rush to a freezer where he sits on an ice to cool himself.

Quint traps Timon in the freezer and starts chasing Pumbaa and Speedy, who repeatedly outwit the chef. When Pumbaa and Speedy get out of the kitchen and get to the elevator, Quint sees them, pulls out two kitchen weapons, and walks to them. Pumbaa and Speedy enter the elevator and quickly close the door before Quint catches them, much to their relief. However, their luck doesn't last as Quint manages to send them back to the top of the Eiffel Tower and finally catch them. But then, Timon shows up sliding with a big ice cube, which hits Quint and makes him fall out of the Eiffel Tower and land in the Louvre, where a sword falls in between his legs, making him pass out. With Culinary Quint defeated, Timon and Pumbaa can now take Speedy home.

"Truth or Zaire"

When Timon and Pumbaa are running away from Quint (as he is presumed to be a hunter), they end up in baby clothes a rabbit was hanging up. When Quint gets them, a female gorilla appears, saves Timon and Pumbaa and takes them home. She then decides that they are now her babies and that she's going to take care of them.

Timon has the idea to pretend they are actually babies so the female gorilla protects them from Quint, like a body guard. A male gorilla knocks on the doors and asks the female gorilla to marry him, and she accepts. She goes get her dress and the male gorilla goes talk to Timon and Pumbaa. They act like babies, but the male gorilla shows that he's actually Quint in a costume.

Timon and Pumbaa get shocked when they see Quint, but there's nothing they can do to stop him. The female gorilla gets back with her wedding dress and starts to talk with the "male gorilla" about the wedding. While they are talking, Timon goes behind Quint and zips down the costume, showing his real face. The female gorilla gets angry and kicks Quint out.

Timon and Pumbaa think they are finally safe, but Pumbaa is not happy with the fact that they are lying to the female gorilla and wants to tell her the truth, but Timon convinces him that they are safer that way and that "nice guys finish last." Later that day, someone knocks on the door and the female gorilla opens it. Three old gorillas come inside to see the "new babies". They cuddle them until the female gorilla shows Timon and Pumbaa her surprise: three baby gorillas that she brought to play with them.

Pumbaa is not comfortable with the idea and decides to tell the female gorilla the truth. At the mention of "take advantage of maternal instincts for personal safety and comfort", she gets really mad and chases Timon and Pumbaa, just like Quint at the beginning of the episode. They end up in a dead end and the gorillas surround them. All of a sudden, a net falls down and traps the gorillas and Quint appears with what looks like a high-tech gun. He points it to Timon and Pumbaa claiming that he finally got them and when he pulls the trigger, the gun takes a picture, revealing that Congo Quint is actually a wildlife photographer and the gun is actually a camera.

Quint claims that he's going to be famous with that picture and that all magazines will want it in their cover. When Quint is going away, the female gorilla grabs him from the net and starts to hit him on the ground. Timon has the idea to take pictures of that scene so he can sell them to the magazines too.

"The Pain in Spain"

Carlos and Consuelo Quint

Carlos and Consuelo Quint see Pumbaa running fast, mistaking him for a bull. The men catch Pumbaa and take him to the bullfighting arena. In a room at the arena, the Quints decide to fire El Toro and replace him with Pumbaa. El Toro is angered by this and he refuses to leave without a fight. He states to Pumbaa that he shall return.

Carlos and Consuelo Quint are later seen guarding El Toro's room while Timon tries to sneak in to save Pumbaa.

"Ocean Commotion"

For being stowaways, Quint is about to throw Timon and Pumbaa overboard

While on a cruise ship, Timon and Pumbaa try to trick Quint into thinking that they are "anti-stowaways". The captain, however is not convinced and is about to throw Timon and Pumbaa off the cruise ship for being stowaways until he is stopped by Speedy, who vouches for the duo.

Quint is later seen when Timon makes the passengers jump out of the boat as he tricks them into thinking that there is gold underwater.

"Palm Beached"

When Timon and Pumbaa's new napping spot gets sent to a posh hotel, the two friends see the rooftop swimming pool and are about to nap in it, only for Quint to grab the two and throw them out of the hotel.

Pumbaa moans to Timon that the meerkat was right about him choosing a napping spot, but Timon tells the warthog that this time he chose the best napping spot and that they're going to sneak back in. Timon and Pumbaa hide in one of the suitcases Concierge Quint is pushing. But Pumbaa passes gas, which makes Quint open the suitcase and see the two. Quint chases Timon and Pumbaa up the stairs, but then runs into a person (Timon and Pumbaa in disguise). The person opens a door for Quint, telling him that Timon and Pumbaa went that way. Then, it turns out to be a door to an outside of the hotel, causing Quint falls down. Timon and Pumbaa take a nap in the pool, but Quint catches the two and throws them out again.

Timon sees a sign of a seminar going on and rearranges the words and puts a picture of Simba in the place of the picture of the man. Timon and Pumbaa enter the hotel, but Quint stops them. Timon tricks Quint by telling him that they're on a way to a seminar, making the manager let the two in until the Simba picture falls down. Realizing he just got tricked, Quint starts chasing Timon and Pumbaa, who get in an elevator. Quint goes from stairs to stairs to capture the duo, but they continuously outsmart him. Timon and Pumbaa are now napping on sun chairs, but Quint catches them and throws them out again.

In order to have Timon and Pumbaa want to leave the hotel, Quint gives them a bill for them to pay

Timon and Pumbaa use toilet plungers to climb up the hotel. The two run into Concierge Quint and Timon puts the plungers on the manager's eyes. As Quint chases Timon and Pumbaa, the two blow balloons of themselves to trick Quint. When Quint catches the balloons, the balloons deflate, causing the manager to fall.

Quint catches Timon and Pumbaa sitting at a table with drinks. Timon and Pumbaa tell him that they will keep coming back to the hotel no matter how many times he throws them out. Quint then gets an idea to make the pals want to leave the hotel once and for all, which is to treat them like real hotel guests.

After pampering Timon and Pumbaa, Quint them a long paper bill for their napping spot. Knowing that they don't have any money to pay the bill, Timon and Pumbaa attempt to escape the hotel, with Quint giving chase. After Timon and Pumbaa outsmart Quint once again, they fly out of the hotel and land on a bed a truck is carrying.

"Klondike Con"

While mining for gold at the Klondike, Quint finds Timon and Pumbaa, who have been frozen by a hard wind. He rescues the two friends by licking the ice.

A couple of minutes later, Courteous Quint set up his camp with Timon and Pumbaa, now unfrozen, warming themselves up with blankets. Pumbaa thanks Quint for saving their lives, but Timon, however, doesn't trust the man because he is too nice. The meerkat then wonders what Quint is doing in the Klondike. Pumbaa suggests that they ask him, but Timon suggests that they have to be sneaky. Timon goes to Quint and starts a conversation that leads the man to reveal why he is at the Klondike, which is that he mining for gold as well. He then confesses to Timon and Pumbaa that while he was wandering the frozen tundra for 50 years, he hasn't found anything. After Quint shows the two friends his shovels and picks for digging up gold, Pumbaa gives the man a map, but Timon takes the map back, saying that he doesn't need his help. The meerkat then changes his mind after Pumbaa suggested that they should team up with him, saying that they can't dig up gold without his equipment.

Timon, Pumbaa, and Courteous Quint are now mining for gold. They come across a cave, assuming that there are lots of gold in there. Timon and Pumbaa rush to it, but then Quint stops them, warning them about a polar bear that could possibly inside the cave. He therefore suggests that they should let him enter the cave first. While Pumbaa agrees, Timon stops Quint from entering, telling him that he can't fool him with his politeness and decides that he should go in first, which he does. When he enters the cave, he discovers that it is filled with gold. Suddenly, a polar bear appears and eats the meerkat, who manages to get out of its mouth and run away from it. The polar bear chases Timon until they get to a dead end of the cave. Pumbaa and Quint rescue Timon from the bear.

After getting rid of the polar bear, the group is back outside getting the equipment. While Pumbaa praises Quint for his rescue, Timon, however, still refuses to trust him. While Timon, Pumbaa, and Quint are gold mining in the cave, rock piles are about to fall on Timon. Quint sees this and saves the meerkat from getting crushed by the rocks. Despite the man's rescue, Timon still doesn't trust him.

Timon, Pumbaa, and Courteous Quint are now at a swimming pool. Pumbaa asks Timon if he could bring the scissors, which the meerkat does by running around the pool with the scissors in his hands. He is then stopped by Courteous Quint, who warns him that he could possibly get seriously hurt if he runs around with scissors. Timon still refuses to trust Quint, making Pumbaa wonder why after he saved the meerkat's life four times. Timon replies by saying the reason Quint is saving his life is that he wants his gold. The meerkat then gets gold fever. Timon gives one gold to Pumbaa, then one for himself, then one for Quint, and then one for himself again. Quint suggests that Timon should just split the gold, but Timon puts all the gold in a bag.

Courteous Quint revealed to be Claim Jumper Quint

Timon, Pumbaa, and Quint are about to go on icy ground. The ground then crumbles and breaks apart, with Timon falling with the gold, Pumbaa catching Timon but then falling, and Quint quickly catching Pumbaa by his tail. Considering how heavy and difficult Timon and Pumbaa are to lift with Timon holding the bag of gold, Quint tells Timon to throw the bag to him, but the meerkat refuses. Pumbaa tells Timon that he has to trust him and then reminds him about the times Quint saved their lives. Timon then reluctantly agrees throw the bag of gold to Quint. After Courteous Quint gets the bag thrown to him, it turns out that he is actually a gold thief named Claim-Jumper Quint. When a hook from a helicopter grabs on to Quint, he lets go of Pumbaa's tail, leaving Timon and Pumbaa to fall to their deaths.

Luckily, Timon and Pumbaa safely land in a big pile of snow. After Quint gets inside the helicopter, the helicopter goes inside a police aircraft and the police arrests the criminal.

"The Man From J.U.N.G.L.E."

Chromosome Quint

Timon (who is disguised as Super Duper Hero X to make money) gets kidnapped by Hero X's archenemy, Chromosome Quint. When Pumbaa worries about Timon getting abducted and wonders who could help him, Speedy shows up, stating that he's here to meet Hero X. Pumbaa breaks the news by telling his friend that the hero got kidnapped in Quint's aircraft. Speedy states that whenever something goes wrong, he sings. After Speedy performs a song, Pumbaa suggests that they should find Timon.

Meanwhile, Quint introduces himself to Timon, whom he mistakes for Hero X. He tells the meerkat that he is going to reveal Hero X's secret identity to all the jungle animals, who are gathering around Pride Rock for the presentation of a newborn lion cub. Timon tries to tell Quint who he really is, but his enemy still thinks he's a superhero.

Pumbaa and Speedy find the aircraft getting close to Pride Rock. The two friends get to the very top of the rock to try to enter the aircraft. When Pumbaa wonders how he and Speedy could get inside, the snail suggests that they should sing, causing them to slide down to the inside of the aircraft where Timon and Quint are. Timon tries to get Pumbaa to tell Quint that he's not Hero X, but the warthog states that he is.

Pumbaa then gets trapped by Quint, who runs out of the room. Pumbaa shows Timon that he brought Speedy with him, but the meerkat doesn't believe that a snail could help them escape. Speedy reveals to his friends that he is Super Duper Hero X. After the hero frees Timon and Pumbaa from Quint's trap, the three prepare to defeat their enemy.

Chromosome Quint revealed to have been controlling the seagull that repeatedly kidnapped Speedy

Quint is about to reveal Hero X's secret identity to the animals. But then, Timon, Pumbaa, and Speedy turn off the power, believing that Quint is defeated. But little do they realize, turning off the power means causing the aircraft to stop flying. The aircraft is about hurt the animals and destroy Pride Rock, with the narrator questioning what would happen next.

The scene then switches to Speedy's home, where Timon and Pumbaa say goodbye to their friend and also thanking him for saving Pride Rock and all the jungle animals. Timon finds it funny how after they have been risking their lives saving Speedy, he was a superhero all along while Pumbaa is glad that Chromosome Quint will remain locked up behind bars. But then, a seagull, which turns out to be a craft controlled by Chromosome Quint, kidnaps Speedy, making Timon and Pumbaa have to save their friend.

"Rome Alone"

When Timon and Pumbaa get sent to Rome, Quint orders that the two be fed to a lion, (which Pumbaa at first misinterprets to mean that they get to feed the lion.) Quickly realizing they're in trouble, Timon and Pumbaa try to escape the stadium. However, they are too late and the lion catches them both. Fortunately, the Lion turns out to be none other than Simba, who refuses to eat Timon and Pumbaa since the three of them are friends (to Quint and the audience's anger.)

However just as Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba begin to leave the stadium, Quint stops them, demanding that Simba either eat Timon and Pumbaa, or fight Claudius, a gladiator lion who has never lost a fight. Unwilling to let Simba be hurt and let themselves be eaten, Timon devises a plan to have it seem like Simba ate Timon and Pumbaa in order to trick Quint. (Unknown to everyone else, Simba hides them in his mouth in order make a quick exit.) However, Timon and Pumbaa start to fight while inside Simba's mouth which makes Quint suspicious. Finally, Timon makes Pumbaa fart by accident and Simba is forced to spit them out in disgust. Exposed for tricking Quint, Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba make a hasty retreat and they manage to escape the stadium, with Quint in pursuit. After a long chase that culminates to both groups using chariots to escape one another, Pumbaa manages to leave Quint behind, leaving him, Timon, and Simba to try and find a way out of Rome. Shortly after running around however, Quint surprisingly captures Simba and prepares for him to fight Claudius to the death tomorrow.

The next day, Simba and Claudius enter the Colosseum, prepared to fight each other. Suddenly just as both Lions prepare to fight, to everyone's surprise (and the audience's frustration,) Claudius falls asleep. It's then revealed that while Timon and Pumbaa couldn't get Claudius to agree to not fight Simba, their attempts to make him forfeit did keep him up all night, without any sleep.

Enraged that Claudius won't fight now, and that Simba still refuses to eat Timon or Pumbaa, Quint decides to fight the trio himself. After Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba mess around with his attempts to kill them, Quint accidentally hits and breaks one of the pillars holding up the Colosseum, which causes a Domino effect and causes the entire Colosseum to start falling apart with it. Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba manage to escape the Colosseum before it completely falls apart and Timon puts a sign on the ground that reads: "Beware of Fallen Empire!".

"Escape From Newark"

Pet Store Owner Quint

Timon and Pumbaa get sent to a 5 stars pet shop owned by Pet Store Owner Quint. While Pumbaa dislikes the idea of him and Timon being in a pet shop, Timon also dislikes it at first, but changes his mind when they get pampered by Quint's machines. When Timon and Pumbaa are put in a "golden cage," Timon is delighted by what it has: an air conditioner, a private bathroom, and bugs. Pumbaa, however, is homesick and doesn't want to stay in the pet shop. Meanwhile, Quint goes to lunch, leaving the pet shop secured with laser beams.

Timon is enjoying his new pampered life at the pet store, calling it a new home. But Pumbaa suggests that since Quint refuses to let them go, they should escape. Timon, however, refuses to listen to Pumbaa's advice and decides to stay in the cage.

Later, Pumbaa opens the vent with a fork to make an escape while Timon is getting pampered. The meerkat tells his friend that he should give their cage a chance and try to relax, but Pumbaa decides to continue making an escape and he says that he will do either with or without Timon. Timon turns around and is given some bugs. When he is about to show Pumbaa the grubs, he sees that the warthog presumably escape. Believing that he gave up his best friend for his new life at the pet store, he feels miserable and guilty. However, it is revealed that Pumbaa was actually in the bathroom.

Pumbaa tells Timon that there is still room for one more to escape, making Timon happy to see his friend again. Pumbaa tells him that he's the only one who can come up with a clever way to escape and that he's the one who can easily fit through the vent. Timon eventually agrees with Pumbaa's idea of escaping the pet shop and going back to their home.

Quint gets locked in a cage after his pet shop gets destroyed

Pumbaa ties Timon to a rope and the meerkat goes through the vent and in the hall while Pumbaa holds on to the rope. The meerkat pushes a button that opens all the cages and he frees all the other animals in the store. While Timon and Pumbaa attempt to escape, Timon eats some bugs, but then he accidentally drops one of the insects out of his mouth, which touches the ground, causing the alarm to go on.

Pet Store Owner Quint gets in the store and sees Timon and Pumbaa trying to escape. Timon pushes some buttons that makes the store close. Timon and Pumbaa quickly get out before the store closes and Quint is left inside. Quint pushes some buttons to try to reopen the store, but he accidentally caused the shop to get destroyed, and he ends up getting locked in a cage.

"Circus Jerks"

Quint is seen with a clown named Meanie, stating that their previous performances were not so successful, so he hired Timon and Pumbaa to follow Meanie's lead. He is later seen when Meanie decides to quit his job as a clown, as he believes that the audience loves Timon and Pumbaa more.

"Robin Hoodwinked"

Claim-Jumper Quint

Quint, the King of Rottingham, shows up and plans to steal a pile of gold rocks Timon and Pumbaa found when trying to catch some water bugs. Timon and Pumbaa insist that he keeps them until he makes the two change their minds by telling them that they can buy bugs with the gold. Timon and Pumbaa now want Quint to leave so they can have the gold, but Quint says that he now owns the forest.

Timon and Pumbaa try to find a way to stop Quint from stealing the gold and Timon suggests that he becomes Robin Hood and Pumbaa becomes his merry man, Little Hog. Timon and Pumbaa try various ways to stop Claim-Jumper Quint, but nothing works. After all the failed attempts, Timon and Pumbaa decide to disguise themselves as a woman. Quint finds Timon in a woman costume and falls for his and Pumbaa's trick as he believes it is an actual woman and becomes attracted to "her." While Timon talks to Quint, Pumbaa sneakily takes the bags of gold. The two then escape with the bags.

Pumbaa gives the gold to the forest animals, but Timon wants to use them to buy bugs. Pumbaa then suggests that Timon challenges Claim-Jumper Quint to a competition. Timon does so and Quint says that the winner of the competition can keep the gold and Pumbaa says that the winner can also take what's behind curtain number three.

Timon and Quint in battle

Timon and Claim-Jumper Quint have a competition where Quint wins the first round and Timon wins the second, resulting to the two contestants to have a tie. Quint then suggests that he and Timon have an archery contest. He ties up Pumbaa at the target with an apple on his head. Timon and Quint both succeed in shooting the apple, resulting in another tie. For a tiebreaker, Quint suggests that they flip a coin with Quint doing tales and Timon doing heads. Quint flips the coin and it lands on heads, therefore Quint wins.

Quint forces Timon to return him the bags of gold, but first he decides to look at what's behind curtain number 3, where it is revealed that there's nothing behind the curtain. Pumbaa pushes a rope that makes all the gold fall on the king. Timon shoots the arrows at Quint while Pumbaa is proud of his friend for his actions.

"Two for the Zoo"

When Timon and Pumbaa see a buzzard get captured by Quint, who puts it in a truck to a zoo, Timon tells his friend that it would be great to live in a zoo and suggests that they should get captured as well.

Timon is going to try to get himself and Pumbaa captured by Quint to get to the zoo. Quint puts leaves on a pit, which is a trap. Timon pretends that he wants to nap on the leaves, but Pumbaa quickly rescues his friend, and instead, a lion falls into the pit.

Timon and Pumbaa try another way to get themselves captured, this time using a rope. Timon asks Pumbaa to hold the rope for a second and comes back with toothbrushes. The meerkat sees his friend not holding the rope and the two see that the rope got attached to a rhino's horn. As the rhino goes after Timon and Pumbaa, a crate falls and traps him.

For the third attempt to get themselves captured, Timon and Pumbaa use a big net. When they struggle to trap themselves, Pumbaa asks a gorilla to help them. However, when the gorilla does so, it gets itself captured. Then when coconuts fall on Timon and Pumbaa, a snake lands on the coconuts and Quint captures the snake and thanks Timon and Pumbaa for "helping him capture the animals."

Timon and Pumbaa try one more way to get themselves captured: sneak inside the back of the truck. When the two are about to get in, they see the animals they accidentally help Quint capture in cages angry at them. Timon then changes his mind about getting captured; instead have him and Pumbaa stay in the jungle.

Timon lies on a hammock while Pumbaa lies in a mud. Timon is about to eat a tortilla with bugs inside, but Pumbaa keeps moaning about the animals being behind bars and he wants him and Timon to go free them. When the two get to the zoo, Quint shows up and considers Timon and Pumbaa to be the snake's food. He therefore puts Timon and Pumbaa in a bag and drop to the snake's den so they can get devoured by the reptile.

Quint gives Timon and Pumbaa their very own cage

After Timon and Pumbaa fly out of the snake's tail and land on two hedgehogs, Timon wants to leave the zoo, but Pumbaa moans again and Timon has to find a way to free the animals. The two dress up as cleaners and Quint makes the them get in the gorilla's cage. The gorilla puts Timon and Pumbaa on a tire swing and makes them fly off and land in the rhino's cage. The rhino pokes Timon and Pumbaa with its horn and the two fly off and land on the lion's cage.

After Timon and Pumbaa escape the lion, Pumbaa sees a machine and accidentally pushes a button that opens the cages of the zoo, causing all the animals to escape. Timon and Pumbaa sneak out of the room with the machine and run into the animals they accidentally helped Quint capture.

After the animals attack Timon and Pumbaa, Quint puts the two in their own cage. Pumbaa tells Timon that he was right about living in a zoo. Then it turns out that they're in a petting zoo and they see children on a field trip about to pet them.

"The Swine in the Stone"

Quint struggles pulling a sword called Excalibur out of a rock while Timon and Pumbaa, dressed in medieval clothes, watch him. After the trouble with the sword, it's lunchtime for Quint and the knight forces Timon and Pumbaa to pull Excalibur out of the stone before a dragon attacks or he'll be very angry and hurt the two.

Timon and Pumbaa have trouble taking Excalibur out of the rock as well, and then Timon gets an idea to create a vacuum cleaner, as there were no vacuum cleaners in medieval times. The vacuum cleaner plan, however, backfires and then Timon and Pumbaa use a magnet. But according to the manuel Pumbaa's reading, the magnet doesn't take Excalibur out of the rock and instead brings in other swords. Timon and Pumbaa get chased by swords. When the two are at a dead end, Timon lets go of the magnet, causing the swords to go away and land on the table where Quint is having his lunch.

Quint struggles to pull Excalibur out

Timon tricks Quint into thinking that he and Pumbaa pulled Excalibur of the rock by using one of the other swords. But Quint is not convinced and makes Timon and Pumbaa go back to the rock. Timon reads a note on Excalibur, which is that they have to go see the lady of the lake to help them. Timon and Pumbaa go to a lake and find a man instead of a lady. The man shows the two the "pancake of doom" which would magically take Excalibur out of the rock.

Timon and Pumbaa show Quint the "pancake of doom" and do a magic trick to make Excalibur come out of the stone, but the magic doesn't work. After Quint throws Timon and Pumbaa back to the rock, Timon sees some pieces of the rock breaking due to the two landing on it.

Timon therefore gets explosive objects to blow up the rock while Quint is finished with his lunch. After Timon blows up the rock, Excalibur flies in the air, much to Timon and Pumbaa's overjoy, but unfortunately lands in another rock. Quint is oblivious about the sword being in the rock, believing it got removed. Timon, Pumbaa, and Quint see the dragon about to attack.

Quint smashes the dragon with the rock, making the dragon give up. Quint sees that Excalibur is still stuck in a rock and gets angry at Timon and Pumbaa. But when Timon explains what just happened, the knight decides to use the rock as a weapon instead of Excalibur itself.

"Going Over-Boar'd"

Quint comes to Timon and Pumbaa for the two to show him their tickets, which they don't have, leading to Timon trying to create a distraction while he tries to get Pumbaa to run. After realizing that Timon and Pumbaa are stowaways, Quint has one of the crew secure the two friends so they won't get into trouble, that way he can deal with them after dinner.

Captain Quint's assistant takes Timon and Pumbaa to a room. Timon tricks him into letting him in first in order to lock him in so they can escape. After they succeed, they hide in the captain's room and see that the captain isn't driving the boat. Timon takes the captain's hat and plays with the wheel. Pumbaa wants to be captain too, but Timon won't let him because there's only one captain and that he needs to know about all sorts of nautical things, the direction he needs to go, and that he needs to wear a hat.

Timon then sees that the boat is about to go on a desert island. He tries getting help but no one answers. The meerkat then turns the wheel and the boat turns around. After Timon's success of getting the boat to turn, Pumbaa gets an idea to trick Timon into thinking that someone called him. When Timon talks on the phone, Pumbaa takes the hat and drives the ship while Timon realizes he got tricked.

Pumbaa sees that the boat is about to run into an octopus. After the boat "shaves" the octopus' head, Timon takes the hat from Pumbaa and then the two start fighting over who should be captain and which way they should go, accidentally setting the ship in motion.

Timon and Pumbaa later see a big wave going after them. When they see that they're going to the end of a road, Pumbaa pushes a lever that causes the boat jumps from one road to another while the wave falls down.

After Timon and Pumbaa escape the wave, Pumbaa takes the hat from Timon and then sees that the ship is falling off the cliff. The boat hits the octopus and the octopus goes after it, grabs the ship (and Captain Quint, who has been realizing that someone was controlling his boat while he was about to eat his dinner), and goes underwater with it. Seeing that water is coming inside the ship, Pumbaa takes an inflated female octopus out of the boat to distract the octopus while the boat gets out of the water.

An enraged Captain Quint goes to his room and sees that Timon and Pumbaa have been controlling his ship. The boat then hits an ice cube, causing the ship to sinks. Timon, Pumbaa, and Quint are now on a small boat and watch the titanic sink. When Timon and Pumbaa tell Quint that he is supposed to go down with the ship since he's the captain, he gets mad and puts Timon and Pumbaa on a raft.

"Ready, Aim, Fire"

As they are warned by Smolder about the fire, Timon and Pumbaa put the fire out. But then, Quint, who has just gone fishing, forces the two to relight the fire. He shows Timon and Pumbaa that they can find fire from a nearby volcano.

While Timon and Pumbaa are on their way to relight the fire for Quint, they run into Smolder. Instead of telling the bear the truth, Timon makes up an excuse by telling him that he and Pumbaa use the fire for them to walk on hot coals. After Smolder makes Timon and Pumbaa walk on hot coals, he still doesn’t find it to be a good excuse and warns them once again about eating them if he ever catches them with another flame.

When Timon and Pumbaa run to the water due to their feet being hurt from the hot coals, they run into Quint again, who finds them without a fire. Timon tells the lumberjack that he and Pumbaa dropped it somewhere in the water. After Quint sends the duo back to the volcano, Pumbaa gets an idea.

Pumbaa makes Timon dress up like a fire to distract Smolder while he gives the real fire to Quint. When the warthog leaves, Smolder walks up to Timon, who tries to distract the bear. Smolder is then about to hit Timon with a shovel, making the meerkat run. The bear ends up hitting Pumbaa and is about to eat the warthog. In order to save his friend’s life, Timon paints a picture of fire on Smolder’s back so that the bear can panic while the two friends escape him. When they once again run into Quint without a fire, Timon is about to make up an excuse of why they don’t have the flame. However, Quint kicks Timon and Pumbaa back to the volcano.

As Timon is about to get some fire, Smolder turns it off and chases Timon and Pumbaa around the volcano. They then bump into each other and fall off, with Timon and Pumbaa landing next to Quint and his fish. When Timon is about to tell Quint the truth, the lumberjack realizes that the duo smells good and is about to eat them instead of his fish.

While Quint roasts Timon and Pumbaa, Pumbaa asks Timon why he didn’t tell Smolder the truth in the first place, which the meerkat replies that it is sometimes easier to lie. Smolder then shows up angry at the duo. Timon and Pumbaa let Smolder know that Quint is the reason they were using fire, making the bear realize they they are not bad guys after all.

Smolder frees Timon and Pumbaa, destroys the fire, and eats Quint. While Timon and Pumbaa are leaving the north, Quint is now inside Smolder with Joey and Suzie.

Quint challenges the duo to a contest of skill and courage

During their trip to Hawaii, Timon and Pumbaa are watching people surf, with Pumbaa wondering what it would be like if he were a surfer. Timon tells his friend that warthogs can't surf and that he needs to be slim and sleek and have masterful coordination, like meerkats as he claims. While Pumbaa agrees with the slim and sleek part, he believes he does have masterful coordination.

Timon and Pumbaa fall off the edge of the cliff and land on a surfboard, which gets dragged to the ocean. The two accidentally run over Quint, who is not happy with the two. When Timon and Pumbaa get back on the shore, Pumbaa gets congratulated by the beach goers, with Timon telling them that he taught his friend how to surf, claiming himself to be a world champ.

Quint gets chased by the shark

Kahuna Quint appears and challenges Timon and Pumbaa to a contest of skill and courage. When he calls Timon a rodent, the meerkat agrees with the competition. While Timon whispers to Pumbaa on how they will the contest, Quint attaches a shark lure to the end of their board.

Quint becomes King of the Beach

As the contest begins, a shark appears and destroys Timon and Pumbaa's board, causing the two to land on the fish. The shark then chases Quint and eats half of his swimsuit. Pumbaa suggests that they should rescue Quint, but Timon suggests that they should just bail out. Pumbaa makes the shark turn around and run into a rock, much to Quint's disbelief that the warthog rescued him.

When Pumbaa (and later Timon and Quint) gets back on the shore, the beach goers reward the warthog as King of the Beach. Pumbaa, however, declines the reward and gives the title to Quint. As Quint is crowned king, Timon and Pumbaa leave the beach, with Timon telling his friend that he can surf after all.

Bugs from Mars

Superstar Quint

Superstar Quint is a Hollywood star of a movie titled Bugs from Mars, playing the role of Captain Zilch. While the movie is being produced, Timon and Pumbaa chase a winged bug on a trafficked road. When Timon catches the bug, he and Pumbaa fall off the end of the road, nearly plummeting to their deaths.

Timon and Pumbaa safely land on a roller board, which takes to the Hollywood hot set. When they stop at the wardrobe room, Timon decides to save the insect they caught for later. Timon and Pumbaa then find the actors dressing up as giant bugs. This makes Timon and Pumbaa believe that they landed in a bizarre environment and Timon suggests that they must blend in.

When Timon and Pumbaa dress up as tourists, one of the insects grabs Timon. The meerkat takes a picture, causing the flash to blind the actor and let go of him. While the director yells “cut!”, Timon and Pumbaa hide in an artificial rock, believing that they’re in a strange world populated by biggest, ugliest bugs. The two find one of the bug costumes and Pumbaa suggests that they use it as a disguise to frighten the big bugs, which Timon takes as his own idea.

Superstar Quint is now ready for his bug scene. He comes across Timon and Pumbaa, who are inside the bug costume. Playing the role of Captain Zilch, Quint prepares to shoot Timon and Pumbaa with the exterminator raygun, much to the duo’s fear. Timon and Pumbaa then realize that the gun didn’t kill them and they start chasing after Quint, causing a chaos.

The director catches Timon and Pumbaa and brings them to the master genius, Stevie, telling him that they have been disrupting his movie. Timon and Pumbaa apologize to Stevie for the chaos they have caused and try to convince him that they’re harmless bug eaters by showing him the winged bug from earlier. Disgusted, Stevie escapes the hot set, with Pumbaa commenting that while he’s a genius, he doesn’t know fine dining.

Go Fish!

While Timon and Pumbaa are very hungry, they see Quint fishing. The two friends see that he is using some grubs as a fish bait, so they decide to go underwater and eat those grubs off the hook, which makes the fisherman really angry.

Bruisin' for a Cruisin'

Captain Quint

Timon and Pumbaa are being stowaways on a titanic, and are therefore hiding inside a lifeboat. Captain Quint hears their voices and looks for them all around the boat. When he finds them, he is about to throw them off the boat, but Pumbaa makes a promise to entertain the passengers. Quint warns them that if they don't succeed, "Davy Jones' locker waits."

Timon and Pumbaa come up with a way to entertain the passengers, which is setting up a limbo party. Quint finds out what's going on and finds an old man limboing using a heavy dumbbell. When the old man suddenly falls, Timon and Pumbaa go after him with Captain Quint chasing them. When Quint corners the duo in a cargo hold, the old man lands on him, injuring the captain with the dumbbell.

Timon comes up with another way to entertain the passengers. He and Pumbaa place two cargo crates which Timon painted six small holes in one and five on the other to make them look like domino dice. Timon then gets on one of the passengers and makes him bounce around a square with a pogo stick.

Quint finds an old man limboing with a heavy dumbbell

Captain Quint finds Timon and Pumbaa and is about to throw them off the ship again. Timon tells the captain that they made a deal to make the passengers happy and that a deal's a deal. Quint gives them another chance and says that he'll be back in an hour, hoping to see smiles on the passengers' faces. After Timon blames Pumbaa for his idea of entertaining the passengers, he gets an idea himself.

An hour passes and Quint sees that Timon and Pumbaa painted smiley faces on the passengers. He later throws Timon and Pumbaa off the ship and the two friends are on a lifeboat. Pumbaa believes that they made Quint happy and Timon tells his friend that making people happy is overrated and decides to take a nap.

Quint attempts to stop Timon and Pumbaa from rescuing Speedy

While Shopkeeper Quint helps out a woman choose a meal, Timon and Pumbaa free Speedy from his cage. Quint sees this and chase the three friends. Timon suggests that they split up to confuse Quint and Pumbaa agrees. Pumbaa runs into Santa Clause's throne and finds the Santa costume. He decides to disguise himself to avoid getting caught by Quint.

Meanwhile, Timon realizes that Speedy can't run fast since he's a snail. Timon grabs his friend and tries to come up with an idea for a distraction. He finds a shoe store and writes down that all the shoes are 100% off, leading to the shoppers to stampede and run over Quint. With Quint defeated, Timon and Speedy can now go safely back to the jungle and they go find Pumbaa. Pumbaa, however, cannot leave yet because he's busy playing Santa to a line of children, with the real Santa watching in shock.

When Pumbaa opens the ship (which he and Timon at first believed to be a monster), Marine Biologist Quint, the captain of the ship, pops up and scolds the duo for "annoying him." Pumbaa explains to Timon that the fact that the harpoon the meerkat used was bent from trying to destroy the monster meant that the creature was in fact a ship. When Quint states that he is going to Scotland to search for a lochness monster, Timon and Pumbaa decide to join him on his journey.

Though his occupation does vary throughout the series, he will almost always go out of his way just to annoy Timon and Pumbaa. Most of the time, Quint is vain, sneaky, arrogant, conceited, egotistical, and manipulative, but has been known in a few episodes to be merely a respectable man with an honest job (though still manages to get in the way of Timon and Pumbaa's plans somehow or another). For example, in "Klondike Con," Quint begins as a courteous man helping Timon and Pumbaa, with Timon not gaining his trust, helping them get gold. When Timon and Pumbaa have the sack of gold with them as they are falling off a cliff, Quint says to throw the gold to him to help them get back up. Timon, still in distrust, declines his offer. However, Pumbaa reminds Timon all the good things Quint had done for them, so Timon decides to throw the bag to Quint so he could save them. At that moment, from "Courteous Quint" he turns into "Claim Jumper Quint" and steals the gold from Timon and Pumbaa.

• In "The Pain in Spain", two Quints (Carlos and Consuelo Quint) are seen together. This can prove that there is more than one of him.
• Quint is the only human to have met and had a confrontation with Simba (and vice versa), as seen in "Rome Alone."
• Quint also has a habit of giving himself nicknames, usually in relation to his jobs or roles in the various episodes he appears in. Ex. "Criminal Quint" as a robber, "Congo Quint" as a photographer, etc. 
• Quint is very similar to Mickey Mouse's archenemy Pete, Yosemite Sam from Looney Tunes, and Chester from Codename Kid's Next Door, as they all have varying occupations. Quint may have inspired Rancid Rabbit from Catdog as they have the previously mentioned qualities as well as a pink nose, cause trouble for the titular duo, and serve as antagonists alongside a carnivore with two males and a female.
• Quint is also very similar to Norman from Marsupilami, as they both have varying roles with different first names relating to their jobs, they both have shaven faces, and they both serve as frequent antagonists, making them the archenemies of the heroes.
