Queen Bee's colony is a group of bees led by Queen Bee. They reside in Big Bug Valley.
One day, Queen Bee's colony saved Timon and Pumbaa from a giant praying mantis. They brought the duo before Queen Bee, who put them to work among the colony. While working, the duo convinced their fellow workers to embrace a "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle and overthrow Queen Bee. As the new kings of the colony, Timon and Pumbaa did not enforce any work, and so, the beehive quickly fell into disrepair. Desperate, the bees brought back Queen Bee and, per her orders, banished Timon and Pumbaa from their midst.
History[]
Timon and Pumbaa's reign[]
Queen Bee's colony meets Timon and Pumbaa.
Upon entering Big Bug Valley, the darkest and deepest part of the jungle, Timon and Pumbaa came across several large, hostile grubs. One such grub, a giant praying mantis, nearly devoured them when a swarm of bees led by Buzz arrived and rescued them.
The bees took Timon and Pumbaa to their colony, where Buzz introduced them to Queen Bee. She demanded that the duo be fed to the larvae, but Buzz suggested that they be put to work instead. The drones agreed to the idea, as it would increase the percentage of the working activities. Queen Bee reluctantly agreed and ordered Buzz to train Timon and Pumbaa. Afterwards, the pair thanked Buzz for having saved their lives twice, to which he suggested that they repay him by being model workers and helping him impress Queen Bee.
Queen Bee's colony revolts against her.
First, Buzz made Timon and Pumbaa carry buckets of honey to the beehive. However, he found the pair relaxing in their buckets instead of working. This made the buckets too heavy for him to carry, and so, he accidentally knocked into another bee, causing all the other bees to fall over as well. This created a huge mess that prompted Queen Bee to summon Buzz to her office.
After Buzz got fired from his job, Timon and Pumbaa suggested that he, as well as the other bees, relax and embrace a "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle. At first, Buzz was against the idea, as he had spent his whole life working for Queen Bee, but then, he and all the other bees embraced Timon and Pumbaa's way of life. Queen Bee saw what was going on and forced the bees to get back to work, but Buzz resisted, claiming there was more to life than work. Queen Bee then got kicked out of the colony.
Queen Bee's colony banishes Timon and Pumbaa.
With Queen Bee gone, Timon and Pumbaa became the kings of the colony and let the bees enjoy their new "Hakuna Matata" lives. However, things began to go wrong at the beehive, and Timon, Pumbaa, and Buzz realized that "Hakuna Matata" did not work for bees. Consequently, Buzz begged Queen Bee to return to the hive. She forgave him and told him that she would only return if the bees were loyal to her, took the cost out of their health benefits, and banished Timon and Pumbaa.
Acquiescing to Queen Bee's ultimatum, the bees discarded of Timon and Pumbaa by catapulting them away with a net. Once the duo was gone, the bees went back to work, with Buzz re-hired as Queen Bee's first class worker.[1]
