Queen Bee is a female bee. She is the queen of a colony of bees in Big Bug Valley.
Initially, Queen Bee had a loyal assistant named Buzz, who was her first class worker. However, when Timon and Pumbaa taught Buzz and the other bees about "Hakuna Matata," the colony lost their confidence in the queen and exiled her from the hive. Without Queen Bee, matters became increasingly worse, to the point that Buzz had to beg her to return.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Queen Bee lived in a beehive in Big Bug Valley. At some point in her life, she became the queen of a bee colony. Buzz, her first class worker, has served her since his birth.[1]
Dethroned[]
Queen Bee meets Timon and Pumbaa.
As Timon and Pumbaa entered Big Bug Valley, the darkest and deepest part of the jungle, they came across two giant bugs that ran toward them. Later, they encountered a giant praying mantis that nearly devoured them until they were rescued by a horde of large bees led by Buzz.
When the bees took Timon and Pumbaa to their colony, Buzz brought them before their queen. Queen Bee demanded to have Timon and Pumbaa fed to the larvae, but Buzz suggested that they be put to work instead. The drones agreed, as they knew it would increase the percentage of the working activities. Queen Bee reluctantly agreed and demanded Buzz train Timon and Pumbaa. The duo thanked Buzz for saving their lives twice, and the bee suggested that they repay him by being model workers in order to impress Queen Bee.
Queen Bee gets exiled from the colony.
Buzz made Timon and Pumbaa carry buckets of honey to the beehive. The bee then found the pals relaxing in their buckets. This made the buckets too heavy for Buzz to carry, and he accidentally knocked into another bee, causing all the other bees to be knocked over as well. The bees accidentally made a mess at the bee colony, which made Queen Bee call Buzz to her office. Buzz was promptly fired from his job as a first class worker of the colony.
Timon and Pumbaa suggested that he, as well as the other bees, relax. The duo then taught the bees about "Hakuna Matata." At first, Buzz did not find this to be a good idea, since he had spent his whole life working for Queen Bee, but then he and his fellow bees started to go along with living a "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle. Queen Bee saw what was going on and forced the bees to get back to work, but Buzz fought back, stating that there was more to life than work. As a result, Queen Bee was kicked out of the colony.
Buzz begs Queen Bee to return.
Timon and Pumbaa became the kings of the colony and let the bees enjoy their new "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle. However, things went wrong at the beehive, and Timon, Pumbaa, and Buzz realized that "Hakuna Matata" did not work for bees. Therefore, Buzz begged Queen Bee to return to the hive. Queen Bee forgave him and told him that she would return only if the bees were loyal to her, took cost off their health benefits, and had Timon and Pumbaa banished from their colony.
Timon and Pumbaa were put in a net and flown far away from the bees' territory. Buzz cut the rope with an axe, depositing the duo on the ground. When this plan succeeded, the bees got back to work, with Buzz re-hired as Queen Bee's first class worker.[1]

Queen Bee is a large and heavyset bee. She has gold and black stripes, a black ruff, red hair, and a mole on her right cheek. Additionally, she wears bright red lipstick, blue eye shadow, and a golden crown.[1]

Queen Bee is demanding and strict with her workers.
Queen Bee is demanding, strict, and somewhat stubborn. When she encountered Timon and Pumbaa, she demanded that they get fed to the larvae until Buzz suggested that it would be more cost-effective to put them to work. She reluctantly agreed but ordered Buzz to train them and warned him that it would be his responsibility if things did not go well. When the bees accidentally made a mess at the hive, she blamed Buzz for the incident and fired him.
Queen Bee is vehemently against goofing off, kicking back, and chilling out, as she commanded the bees to stop celebrating "Hakuna Matata" and get back to work. This caused Buzz and the other bees to exile her from the hive. Despite her demanding and strict nature, Queen Bee is quick to forgive, as shown when she agreed to return to her colony's aid.[1]
