Pride Land Trouble is a board book inspired by The Lion King. It was published by Mouse Works in 1994 as part of The Lion King: Little Library.
Synopsis[]
Simba and his friend, Nala, were exploring the Elephant Graveyard when they got surrounded by hyenas. Just in time, they were rescued by Simba's father, Mufasa. That night, Mufasa scolded Simba for having disobeyed him. He then reminded the cub that he need only look to the Great Kings of the Past in the stars for guidance.
Meanwhile, Simba's uncle, Scar, continued to plot against his brother and nephew. With the help of his hyena followers, he instigated a stampede that endangered Simba's life. Desperate to save his son, Mufasa raced to the gorge and bore Simba to safety. However, he was thrown to his death by Scar. After the stampede, Scar blamed Simba for his father's death.
