	Fade to a destroyed grove of trees. The Lion Guard runs onscreen, with Ono flying overhead.
Ono	This way, everyone!
Kifaru	[from offscreen] *grunts*
	The Lion Guard pauses.
Beshte	What a mess!
Ono	The rhino's headed for the baboons' tree!
Kifaru	[from offscreen] *grunts*
Kion	Then we better get there first.
Fuli	On it.
	Fuli races away.
Kifaru	[from offscreen] *grunts*
	Fuli pauses, and a baboon leaps onto her head, knocking her over.
Baboon	*screeches*
Fuli	*grunts* [The baboon runs off.] What just happened?
	The rest of the Lion Guard approaches.
Ono	Hapana! We're too late!
	Several baboons race past the Lion Guard.
Baboons	*screech*
Bunga	Un-Bunga-lievable! It's raining baboons!
Ono	Not exactly. Look!
	Cut to Kifaru with his horn stuck in the baboons' tree. Several baboons flee the tree.
Kifaru	*grunts*
Baboons	*screech*
Beshte	Hey! That's Kifaru! But he's a nice rhino. Why's he smashin' into things?
Kion	I dunno, Beshte.
	Beshte looks up and notices something.
Beshte	*gasps*
	Beshte and Kion dodge out of the way as a baboon lands in-between them.
Baboon	*screeches*
	The baboon runs off.
Kion	But we've got to stop him before he really hurts somebody. [Kion runs off.] Come on!
	Beshte and Fuli follow Kion.
Bunga	Hey, you know, we could just catch the baboons...
	A baboon leaps at Bunga.
Baboon	*screeches*
	The baboon lands on top of Bunga, knocking him over.
Bunga	*grunts* [The baboon runs off.] Or... Or maybe not.
	Cut to Kifaru with his horn stuck in the baboons' tree.
Kifaru	*grunts*
Kion	Kifaru! Stop shaking that tree!
Kifaru	Don't yell at me. I didn't put the tree here!
	Beshte approaches Kifaru.
Beshte	Hey, Kifaru? What's the kerbubble?
Kifaru	Oh, Beshte. It's you. [Kifaru tugs at his horn, to no avail.] I'm kinda stuck.
Beshte	Don't worry. Everything's gonna be okay. The Lion Guard's here now.
Kion	We'll get you loose, Kifaru. [Kion approaches Kifaru.] Then, you can tell us what happened.
Kifaru	Oh, that would be wonderful.
Kion	Beshte, you push the tree that way. [Bunga and Fuli approach Kifaru.] Fuli, Bunga, and I will move Kifaru the other way. Ono, watch his horn but don't get too close.
	Ono flies up to Kifaru, flapping in place near his horn.
Ono	You don't have to tell me twice.
Kion	Everybody ready? [The Lion Guard gets into position around Kifaru.] Now, go!
	Beshte shoves at the baboons' tree, while Kion shoves at Kifaru. Bunga tugs on Kifaru's tail.
Beshte, Bunga, Fuli, and Kion	*grunt*
Ono	Okay, doing great... So close... [Kifaru is pulled free of the baboons' tree.] Yes!
Kifaru	*groans* Thank you! [chuckling] You don't know how it felt to be stuck like that!
Bunga	[from offscreen, strained] I kinda do! [Cut to Bunga stuck beneath Kifaru's backside.] *grunts*
Kifaru	Oh. [Kifaru stands.] *grunts* Sorry, Bunga.
	Bunga stands and dusts himself off.
Bunga	And I thought your pointy end was the dangerous one.
	Kion approaches Kifaru.
Kion	So, what's going on, Kifaru? Why're you causing so much trouble?
Kifaru	What trouble?
Kion	You shook the baboons out of their tree.
Kifaru	Oh, so, that's what they were shouting about...
	Ono flies up to Kifaru.
Ono	Not to mention knocking down a whole bunch of trees before that.
Kifaru	Oh... I thought it was odd that so many trees were growing on the path to Lake Matope.
	Kifaru walks toward Bunga, nearly spearing him with his horn.
Bunga	Hey! Look out!
Kifaru	Oh, sorry!
	Kifaru starts to walk in the opposite direction, nearly spearing Fuli with his horn.
Fuli	Whoa! Watch where you point that thing!
Kifaru	[stuttering] Sorry! Sorry! [Kifaru walks off.] I better be on my way.
	Kifaru walks toward a tree.
Beshte	He's gonna run into another tree!
Kion	It's like he doesn't know it's there.
Ono	*gasps* He doesn't! He doesn't have his tickbird! [Ono flies up to Kifaru.] Kifaru! Stop! Stop!
	Kifaru halts.
Kifaru	Ono? What's wrong?
Ono	You tell me. What happened to your tickbird?
Kifaru	*sighs* You mean Mwenzi?
	The rest of the Lion Guard approaches Kifaru.
Beshte	That's right. Mwenzi! I see you guys together all the time.
Kifaru	[despondent] Not anymore you won't. He left me this morning. No reason or anything. He just...flew away.
Ono	That explains everything!
Bunga	It does?
	Ono flies up to Bunga.
Ono	Absolutely! Rhinos have very poor eyesight.
Bunga	Ono! Shhh! [sheepishly, pointing at Kifaru] He's standing right there!
	Ono lands.
Kifaru	Believe me, I know all about it. My eyesight's worse than most rhinos.
Ono	That's why rhinos partner with tickbirds. The tickbirds ride on the rhinos and warn them about dangers that the rhinos can't see! Common knowledge, really.
Beshte	That's awfully nice of them.
Fuli	What's in it for the tickbirds?
Ono	Ticks, of course.
Fuli	[disgusted] Ugh.
Kifaru	And all the other bugs they find on our backs! They eat 'em all up!
	Bunga rubs his stomach.
Bunga	Mmm! Sounds like a good deal to me.
Kifaru	Oh, it is. [Fade to Mwenzi riding on Kifaru's horn as he strolls through the Pride Lands.]  ♪ Tickbirds and rhinos. [Mwenzi flies around Kifaru.] We're always a pair. [Kifaru runs off, with Mwenzi flying alongside him.] Together, we go [Mwenzi guides Kifaru around a tree stump.] everywhere. [Cut to Mwenzi standing on Kifaru's horn and gesturing with his wings.] He's always guiding me along, [Cut to Mwenzi pecking at Kifaru's back.] cleaning all the pesky bugs right off of my back. [Kifaru lies down, and Mwenzi lands on his shoulder.] Tickbirds and rhinos. We're always a pair. ♪  [Fade to Kifaru in the present day.] *sighs*
Beshte	So, you didn't mean to cause all that trouble. You just can't see where you're going.
Kifaru	That's right. I'm really sorry. I was just trying to go to Tamasha.
Fuli	What's Tamasha?
Kifaru	Every wet season, all us rhinos get together near Lake Matope. *sniffles* [Kifaru paces away from the Lion Guard.] And we all spar in the mud. *sobs* It's great.
Beshte	Poor guy seems awfully sad he won't get to go.
Kion	That's why we need to find Mwenzi and get him to come back.
Fuli	But what if we can't find him in time to get Kifaru to Tamasha?
Bunga	I know! We find him a temporary tickbird to take him there. A tickbird like... [Bunga lifts his arms into the air.] me!
Kion	You?
	Bunga waves dismissively.
Bunga	Sure! Riding around the savanna with all the bugs I can eat? [chuckling] What could be better? Kifaru! Say hello to your new tickbird! [Bunga runs toward Kifaru.] Zuka zama!
	Bunga hops onto Kifaru's back.
Kifaru	Bunga?
	Bunga begins eating grubs off Kifaru's back.
Bunga	*munches*
Kifaru	But you're not a bird!
Bunga	Trust me! I'll get you to Lake Matope and have a snack! [Bunga eats more grubs.] *munches*
Kifaru	[haltingly] Okay.
	Kifaru walks off.
Beshte	Uh, well, bye, Kifaru! See ya, Little B!
	Bunga waves.
Bunga	See ya!
Beshte	I think Bunga's gonna do a great job guiding Kifaru.
Ono	[with increasing alarm] No, he's not! [Ono flies offscreen.] Kifaru! [Cut to Kifaru walking toward a cliff. Ono flies in front of him.] Kifaru, stop!
	Kifaru halts, with one foot poised over the drop.
Kifaru	Huh?
	Bunga eats more grubs.
Bunga	*munches* [Bunga notices the cliff.] Huh. Look at that.
Ono	Kifaru. [emphatically] Step back slowly.
Kifaru	Uh, okay, Ono.
	Kifaru backs away from the cliff.
Ono	That's it. Keep going.
	Beshte, Fuli, and Kion run up to Kifaru. Bunga hops off Kifaru's back.
Bunga	Sorry, Kirafu. I was having so much fun snacking, I forgot to look where we were going!
Kion	Wow! Kifaru really listened to you, Ono.
Ono	Well, you know. It's a rhino-bird thing.
Beshte	Poa! You'd be great at helping Kifaru get to Lake Matope.
Fuli	Definitely!
Ono	Wait. [stuttering] You want me to be Kifaru's tickbird?
Kion	You are the keenest of sight...
Ono	Which is why you need me to help find Kifaru's real tickbird!
Fuli	Kion and I can help track Mwenzi by scent.
Beshte	And I know what he looks like. He's got a bright red beak.
Ono	But I'm a member of the Lion Guard. I can't just sit around on some rhino's back all day!
	Ono gestures at Kifaru, who is standing nearby while Bunga eats grubs off his side.
Kion	You won't be just sitting around, Ono. By guiding Kifaru to Tamasha, you'll be protecting the Pride Lands.
Ono	But... But...
Kion	And protecting the Pride Lands is the Lion Guard's duty.
Ono	[defeated] Yeah. You're right.
	Bunga claps Ono on the shoulder.
Bunga	Hey, Ono. You, uh, want some tips from a former tickbird?
Ono	You have tips? You nearly guided him off a cliff!
Bunga	Okay, fine, no tips. [Bunga walks off.] Suit yourself.
	Ono flies off and lands on Kifaru's back.
Ono	*sighs*
	The camera pans down to show Fuli sniffing at Kifaru's horn.
Fuli	*sniffs* Ah! I got the scent. You?
	The camera pans right to show Kion sniffing at Kifaru's shoulder.
Kion	*sniffs* Yeah. Let's go find Mwenzi.
	Beshte, Bunga, Fuli, and Kion run off.
Beshte	See you later, Ono!
Ono	Bye!
Bunga	Save me some ticks!
Kifaru	Okay, Ono. Which way to Lake Matope?
Ono	*sighs* [Ono points.] To the right.
Kifaru	Righty-o!
	Kifaru walks left.
Ono	No! No! [Kifaru nearly walks off the cliff.] Your other right! Other right!
	Kifaru halts, with one foot poised over the drop.
Kifaru	Oh, [Kifaru backs up and turns around.] my other right! [Kifaru ambles away.] Why didn't you say so?
Ono	*groans* This is going to be a long trip.
	Cut to Kifaru walking across the savanna, with Ono riding on his back and covering his own ears.
Kifaru	*snorts* *grunts*
Ono	*groans*
Kifaru	Everything okay, Ono?
Ono	[strained] Fine. Fine. Everything's fine. Just...keep walking.
Kifaru	Okey-dokey. *snorts* *grunts*
	Ono looks around in annoyance for a moment.
Ono	[exasperated] Okay! We want to take the path to [Ono points.] the right.
Kifaru	Righty-o!
	Kifaru walks left.
Ono	No, [Ono flies in front of Kifaru.] the other right. [emphatically] The other right. [Ono points.] It's this way!
Kifaru	Okay, okay. You don't have to shout. Mwenzi never shouted. Until... *sniffles* Until he decided to leave. [Kifaru turns around and runs off.] *sobs*
Ono	Oh, I'm sorry. [Ono flies after Kifaru.] I just... [Ono flies into Kifaru's backside.] *grunts* [Ono falls and lands on the ground.] Owww!
	Kifaru bends down to where Ono is lying on his back.
Kifaru	Ono? [Ono looks at Kifaru.] I have an itch.
Ono	Okay...?
Kifaru	When rhinos have itches, their tickbirds scratch them. Mwenzi did it for me all the time.
	Kifaru walks off.
Ono	I see. [Ono stands.] Okay. Where's the itch?
	Kifaru looks back at Ono.
Kifaru	Inside my ear.
Ono	Of course it is. [Ono flies up to Kifaru.] Hmm, hmm, hmm. [Ono scratches the inside of Kifaru's ear with his beak.] *grunts* There you go. Now, let's...
Kifaru	You didn't get it.
Ono	*sighs* [Ono scratches the inside of Kifaru's ear with his beak.] *mutters* *grunts*
Kifaru	Up a little...
Ono	*grunts*
Kifaru	Wait, now, down just a little...
	Ono pulls away from Kifaru's ear.
Ono	Okay! Why don't we get going to Lake Matope now? [Ono rolls his eyes.] *sighs*
Kifaru	But...Mwenzi wouldn't stop scratching 'till I told him to stop.
Ono	Kifaru, [Ono lands in front of Kifaru.] I'm not Mwenzi.
Kifaru	[sadly] No. No, you're not... *belches* [The force of Kifaru's belch blows Ono away.] Excuse me.
	Ono lands on Kifaru's back.
Ono	*sighs* I hope the Guard finds Mwenzi soon.
	Ono begins to preen himself.
Kifaru	Ono, I may not see very well, but my hearing is perfect. And Mwenzi would never mutter under his breath.
Ono	*sighs* Sorry.
	Cut to Fuli and Kion walking, with their noses to the ground.
Fuli and Kion	*sniff*
	Beshte and Bunga walk onscreen, following Fuli and Kion. Beshte pauses.
Beshte	I think I've seen this tree before.
	Bunga pauses, and Fuli and Kion turn to face Beshte.
Fuli	[irritated] You have. We're just going around in circles.
Kion	We just can't seem to get a good scent! [Kion sniffs around the base of a nearby tree.] *sniffs* Hey, I think Mwenzi's been here!
	Fuli sniffs the tree.
Fuli	*sniffs* Yeah. Pretty recently too.
Bunga	Maybe he's still here! I'll check it out! [Bunga climbs up the tree.] Zuka zama! [Bunga disappears into the leaves.] *exclaims* [Bunga dangles down on a branch.] Nope! No sign of... [Bunga notices something.] Hey, look!
	Bunga points. Cut to Mwenzi flying overhead.
Mwenzi	*chirps*
Bunga	Is that him?
Kion	I didn't see it!
	Mwenzi darts past Beshte, Fuli, and Kion.
Mwenzi	*chirps*
Fuli	There! I saw a red beak!
Bunga	Big B, you know Mwenzi. [Bunga points.] Is that him?
Beshte	I'm not sure. He flew by so fast.
	Mwenzi darts past Beshte.
Mwenzi	*chirps*
Beshte	Mwenzi! I don't know if that's not Mwenzi or if he's just ignoring me.
Kion	I have an idea.
	Cut to Mwenzi landing by a river. He stoops and drinks.
Beshte	[from offscreen] Oh, no! I'm a lonely little rhino covered with ticks! [Mwenzi stops drinking and looks around. Cut to Beshte standing at the base of the tree. Bunga pokes his head out of the leaves.] If only I had a tickbird to help me out!
	Bunga disappears into the leaves. Mwenzi flies up and lands on Beshte's back.
Mwenzi	*chirps* Don't worry, little rhino! I'll help you! [Mwenzi investigates Beshte's back.] Hey! Well, you don't have any ticks back here! What gives?
	Beshte looks back at Mwenzi.
Beshte	Hey, there, Mwenzi!
Mwenzi	Beshte? But...you're not a rhino!
	Bunga jumps out of the tree and tackles Mwenzi to the ground.
Bunga	Ha!
Mwenzi	*chirps*
	Cut to Bunga sitting on the ground, holding Mwenzi's wings to his sides.
Bunga	But you're just the tickbird we've been looking for!
Mwenzi	*caws* [Fuli and Kion run up.] Uh... Uh? Lion Guard? What do you want with me?
Kion	Sorry we tricked you, Mwenzi. But it was the only way to get you to stop and talk to us.
Mwenzi	Talk about what?
Fuli	Uh, Kifaru.
Mwenzi	[disgruntled] Oh. Him. What about him?
Fuli	Well, without you, he's causing all sorts of damage.
Beshte	He really needs his tickbird.
Kion	You have to come back to him.
Mwenzi	After what he did? No way!
Fuli	What'd he do?
Kion	He said you just flew off for no reason.
Mwenzi	[with mounting outrage] No reason? [Mwenzi slips out of Bunga's grasp and flaps in place.] No reason?! Is that what he said? No reason?
Bunga	So, you're saying there was a reason.
Mwenzi	Uh, yeah! We were running late for Tamasha, and he blamed me! We're always late. It's always Kifaru's fault! [Mwenzi flies up to Fuli.] But he always blames me! So, what would you do?
Fuli	*scoffs* I'd leave, and I wouldn't look back.
Kion	*coughs*
	Kion shoots Fuli a pointed look.
Fuli	But, uh, that doesn't mean it's what you should do.
Beshte	Yeah, Mwenzi. You and Kifaru were such good friends. He seems pretty lost without you. And not just because he can't see!
Bunga	Though he really can't see!
Kion	Doesn't seem like you're doing so great either. Looked like you were just flying around aimlessly.
Mwenzi	Well, uh, I am used to having a job to do.
Kion	Looking after Kifaru, right?
Mwenzi	Yeah.
Beshte	Just come with us and talk to him. [Mwenzi flies up to Beshte.] Real friends work things out.
Mwenzi	You really think he misses me?
Beshte	Of course he does. Look how much time you spent together. How could he not?
Mwenzi	*sighs* Okay. I guess it wouldn't hurt to talk to him.
	Cut to Kifaru standing on the savanna.
Kifaru	*snorts* *grunts*
	Ono flies up with jackalberries in his talons. He lands.
Ono	Phew! *sighs* Here you go!
Kifaru	What are these?
Ono	Jackalberry leaves. You asked for them. I had to fly halfway across the savanna to...
Kifaru	But I like the dark green jackalberry leaves.
Ono	How am I supposed to know that?
Kifaru	Well, Mwenzi knows.
Ono	[emphatically] I'm not Mwenzi!
	Ono turns his back on Kifaru.
Kifaru	Hmm, you know, Ono... I should actually thank you.
Ono	You think so?
Kifaru	Yes. If you weren't so bad at being a tickbird, I'd never know how wonderful Mwenzi really was.
	Kifaru ambles away. Ono turns around.
Ono	Well, you're welcome. [realizing] Wait, what?
	Kifaru halts.
Kifaru	*pants*
	Kifaru collapses onto his stomach. Ono flies up to him.
Ono	Ah! Kifaru! What's wrong?
Kifaru	[through labored breaths] All this walking's got me overheated.
Ono	Oh! Well, the lake's not too much farther...
Kifaru	[through labored breaths] Mwenzi'd always make sure I was near mud to cool off. Maybe I can dig for some mud.
Ono	Uh. Here. Let me help.
	Ono fans Kifaru with his wings.
Kifaru	Oh! Oh, this is nice! Mwenzi's so much smaller than you. He could never do something like this for me.
Ono	*scoffs* Did you just say I was better at something than Mwenzi?
Kifaru	Oh, yeah. [Cut to Mwenzi and the Lion Guard approaching.] Little Mwenzi couldn't do this if he tried. Ono, you're the best.
Mwenzi	Ono's the best? [to Kion] I thought you said Kifaru was lost without me?
Kion	But he was! You should have seen him...
Mwenzi	I do see him! And I see that he's doing just fine! Well, if that's what he wants... [Mwenzi flies up to Kifaru.] Kifaru!
Ono	*shrieks* Mwenzi?
Kifaru	Mwenzi! You came back!
Mwenzi	Only to say this. Goodbye forever!
	Mwenzi flies away.
Kifaru	No!
Ono	Mwenzi, wait!
Kifaru	[despairingly] Mwenzi! [Cut to Mwenzi flying away.] Well, Ono, looks like you'll have to be my tickbird from now on.
Ono	[despairingly] Mwenzi! [Cut to Mwenzi flying away.] Wait! Wait! We need to talk!
Kion	Ono, stop! What about Kifaru? It's not safe to leave him alone!
Ono	Then you four take care of him! I'm getting that tickbird back!
	Ono flies away. Kifaru starts to walk away.
Bunga	[from offscreen] Hey, Kifaru! [Bunga hops onto Kifaru's back.] *grunts* We're back in business! Bring on the bugs! [Bunga investigates Kifaru's back.] Hey! Did Ono eat 'em all?
	Kion approaches Kifaru.
Kion	You okay, Kifaru?
Kifaru	Well, I just lost my tickbird and my back-up tickbird. *sighs* How do you think I feel?
Kion	Know what'll make you feel better? Sparring with other rhinos at Tamasha! [Beshte and Fuli sidle up to Kifaru.] Come on, Kifaru. Let's get you to Lake Matope.
Kifaru	Oh, okay. Thanks. Maybe Tamasha will make me feel better.
	Kion walks off, and Beshte and Fuli follow.
Kion	Hop down, Bunga.
	Bunga hops off Kifaru and follows Kion. Kifaru starts to walk in the opposite direction. Beshte turns around.
Beshte	Go straight! [Beshte runs in front of Kifaru and nudges him.] Go straight!
	Kifaru halts.
Kifaru	Whoops. My bad.
	Cut to Mwenzi flying. Ono flies onscreen after him.
Ono	Mwenzi! [Mwenzi lands on a tree branch.] Mwenzi? [Ono flies up to Mwenzi and flaps in place.] Mwenzi! What are you doing? You can't stay here.
Mwenzi	You can't order me around, Ono. I'm not your rhino.
Ono	I don't have a rhino. [Ono flies around to face Mwenzi, but Mwenzi simply turns his back on Ono once more.] And I'm not ordering you around. It's just not safe here. [The camera zooms out to show a swamp nearby.] Makuu and his crocodiles hang out here. If you don't want to get eaten, you have to move!
Mwenzi	Oh, yeah? Well, why would I listen to you? You were trying to take my place!
Ono	I wasn't! And I couldn't anyway. [Ono lands on the tree branch beside Mwenzi.] The whole time I was with Kifaru, all he did was complain and wish I was you.
Mwenzi	That's not what it looked like to me.
Ono	I couldn't do anything right. Speaking of right, how do you get him to make a right turn?
Mwenzi	Why should I tell you?
Ono	So, you couldn't get him to turn right either?
	Mwenzi turns to face Ono.
Mwenzi	Of course I could! You just make him turn three lefts!
Ono	[thoughtful] Three lefts? *exhales* Why didn't I think of that? See, that's what makes you a great tickbird.
Mwenzi	Well, I did my best. Kifaru never was good with directions.
Ono	So, how do you handle the noises? You know, the... *imitates Kifaru's snorts*
Mwenzi	*laughs* No, no, it's more like... *imitates Kifaru's snorts*
Ono	*laughs* Yes! Yes! That's it! That's totally it!
Mwenzi	Yep. He's a mess. *sighs* He's kind of my mess, though. [Fade to the sky. Mwenzi flies into frame.]  ♪ Tickbirds and rhinos. [Mwenzi flies down and lands on Kifaru's horn.] We're always a pair. [Cut to Mwenzi lounging on Kifaru.] Together, we go [Cut to Kifaru walking through the savanna, while Mwenzi lounges on his back.] everywhere. [Mwenzi begins to eat ticks off Kifaru's back.] Takin' me for a ride while I eat all those bugs right off his back. Tickbirds and rhinos. We're always a pair. ♪  [Fade to Mwenzi in the present day.] *sighs* There's something about a tickbird and his rhino.
Ono	You miss him, don't you?
Mwenzi	Oh, he drives me crazy, but he's my best friend. Does that make sense?
Ono	One of my best friends is a honey badger. *chuckles* You should hear the noises he makes.
	Bubbles form in the nearby swamp, and Makuu emerges from underwater.
Mwenzi and Ono	*laugh*
Makuu	Mmm. Lunchtime.
	Makuu swims underwater.
Ono	I'm sure you two can work things out. [Ono puts a wing around Mwenzi.] Just come back with me and talk to him.
Mwenzi	You know what? I will.
Ono	Great! Let's go!
	Ono flies away. Before Mwenzi can follow, Makuu whacks him off the tree branch with his tail.
Makuu	*grunts*
Mwenzi	Ah! Ono!
Ono	*gasps* [Ono pauses in midair.] Hapana!
Makuu	*growls*
Ono	Hold on! [Ono dives and grabs Mwenzi before he can fall into Makuu's mouth.] *grunts*
	Ono deposits Mwenzi on a tree branch.
Mwenzi	Ono, my wing! I can't fly!
Ono	Just stay here. I'll go get help!
	Ono flies away.
Mwenzi	[stuttering] Okay, Ono.
	Makuu approaches the base of Mwenzi's tree.
Makuu	*laughs*
	Mwenzi stares down at Makuu in terror. Cut to rhinoceroses gathering at a mudhole in Lake Matope.
Rhinoceroses	*grunt*
	Kion walks into frame.
Kion	Hey, look, Kifaru. We're almost there.
	Cut to Kifaru looking in a different direction, with the Lion Guard standing around him.
Kifaru	Really?
	Beshte nudges Kifaru in the right direction.
Beshte	Take our word for it.
Ono	[from offscreen] Everyone! Everyone! [Ono flies toward the rest of the Lion Guard.] Mwenzi's in trouble.
Kifaru	Humph. Who cares about him?
	Kifaru keeps walking.
Ono	Makuu's got him trapped!
	Kifaru halts.
Kifaru	Makuu the crocodile?! [Kifaru charges off.] Mwenzi doesn't stand a chance. I gotta save him!
Fuli	Any chance he's going the right way?
Kifaru	Mwenzi! [Kifaru runs offscreen, disappearing over a rise. A tree shudders as he collides with it.] *grunts* I'm coming... [Another tree shudders as Kifaru collides with it.] *grunts*
	A third tree shudders as Kifaru collides with it. Cut to the Lion Guard. Fuli cringes.
Ono	Amazingly enough, he is!
Kion	And we better go with him. 'Till the Pride Lands' end...
	Kion runs off. The rest of the Lion Guard follows.
Beshte, Bunga, Fuli, Kion, and Ono	Lion Guard defend!
	Cut to Makuu staring up at Mwenzi, who is sitting on a tree branch. Makuu whacks the tree trunk with his tail.
Makuu	*grunts*
Mwenzi	Oh, why don't you just give it up, Makuu? I'm not about to fall, and I'm far too high for you to reach.
Makuu	I might have a trick or two that'll surprise you... [Makuu disappears underwater. Mwenzi looks around worriedly. After a moment, Makuu bursts out of the water.] *yells*
	Makuu jumps up and snaps at Mwenzi, breaking off the end of the branch that he is standing on.
Mwenzi	*gasps* [Makuu falls back into the water. Mwenzi peers worriedly at the severely shortened branch.] *pants fearfully*
Makuu	You won't be so lucky next time.
Kifaru	[from offscreen] There won't be a next time, Makuu!
	Cut to Kifaru charging.
Mwenzi	[excited] Kifaru? You came for me?
	Kifaru charges past Makuu.
Kifaru	Leave my friend alone! [Kifaru runs offscreen. A thud is heard.] *grunts* [Cut to Kifaru with his horn stuck in a tree stump. He tries to free himself, to no avail.] *grunts*
	Mwenzi watches Kifaru worriedly.
Makuu	*chuckles* Nice try, rhino. But this does change things. It's no longer a small snack... [Makuu lowers himself halfway underwater.] *growls* [Cut to a wide shot of Makuu. Several crocodiles swim up to him.] *chuckles* A great big meal like this is gonna take more than one croc to bring down.
	The crocodiles surround Kifaru. He continues to struggle against the tree stump, to no avail.
Kifaru	*grunts* Just wait 'till I get loose, Makuu.
Makuu	No, I don't think we will.
Kion	[from offscreen] Think again, Makuu!
	Cut to the Lion Guard running. They halt at the edge of the swamp.
Makuu	Oh. [Makuu rolls his eyes.] *groans* The Lion Guard... [Makuu approaches Kion, and they begin to circle each other.] This isn't your business, Kion. Back. Off.
	Kion and Makuu pause.
Kion	No chance, Makuu! [Kion lunges at Makuu.] *grunts*
	Cut to Ono pecking at a crocodile as it snaps at him. Cut to Fuli. She jumps on a crocodile.
Fuli	Huwezi!
	Fuli runs away. Cut to Bunga.
Bunga	Pick on someone your own size!
	Bunga ducks down, and Beshte runs overtop of him.
Beshte	Twende kiboko!
	Beshte runs offscreen, and a thud is heard. Cut to two crocodiles flying through the air. They land in some tall grass.
Crocodiles	*grunt*
	Kifaru continues to struggle against the tree stump, to no avail.
Kifaru	*grunts*
	Mwenzi looks around worriedly, then steels himself. He drops down to the base of the tree.
Mwenzi	It's okay, Kifaru! [Mwenzi hops toward Kifaru.] You can do it!
Kifaru	Mwenzi?
Mwenzi	Move your foot back and to the right! [Kifaru moves his foot left.] Your other right! Your other right!
	Kifaru moves his foot right, near a rock.
Kifaru	Got it!
Mwenzi	Now, brace yourself against that rock and pull!
	Kifaru steps onto the rock and strains to free himself.
Kifaru	*grunts*
	Kifaru pulls the tree stump out of the ground. From behind Kifaru and Mwenzi, a crocodile approaches.
Crocodile	*growls*
	Mwenzi turns to face the crocodile.
Mwenzi	*screams*
	Kifaru turns around, accidentally knocking the crocodile aside with the tree stump on his horn.
Kifaru	Mwenzi? [Kifaru looks around frantically.] Uh-oh... What'd I hit? Sorry!
Mwenzi	No, you did great! Keep swinging, keep swinging.
	Kifaru charges off. Cut to Fuli struggling to restrain a crocodile.
Fuli	*grunts*
Crocodile	*growls*
	Kifaru knocks the crocodile off Fuli.
Kifaru	*grunts*
Fuli	Ugh!
	Cut to Bunga struggling to restrain a crocodile, while Ono pecks it from above. Kifaru knocks the crocodile off Bunga.
Kifaru	*grunts*
	Bunga watches Kifaru go and pumps a fist.
Bunga	Un-Bunga-lievable.
Makuu	*groans* No meal is worth this... Forget it!
	Makuu walks toward the swamp.
Kifaru	Too late, Makuu. [Kifaru charges at the screen. He knocks Makuu offscreen.] *grunts* [A splash is heard. Mwenzi hops up to join Kifaru.] That's what you get when you mess with my best friend!
	Cut to the crocodiles swimming away.
Makuu	*groans*
	The Lion Guard joins Kifaru and Mwenzi.
Kion	Great job, guys. Thanks.
Kifaru	I couldn't have done it without my tickbird.
Mwenzi	And I couldn't have done it without my rhino.
	Kifaru and Mwenzi begin to dance to the beat.
Mwenzi	♪ Tickbirds... ♪
Kifaru	♪ ...and rhinos. ♪
	Kifaru nuzzles Mwenzi.
Kifaru and Mwenzi	♪ We're always a pair. ♪
	Kifaru turns to face Ono.
Kifaru	Uh, Ono? I'm sorry, but you can't be my tickbird anymore. I hope you're not too upset.
Ono	Oh, I think I'll manage.
	Cut to rhinoceroses sparring.
Rhinoceroses	*grunt* [The camera zooms out to show other rhinoceroses watching the sparring match.] *cheer*
	The camera pans right to show Kifaru faced in the wrong direction, while the Lion Guard stands nearby.
Kifaru	Yeah! Go! [Mwenzi whispers something into Kifaru's ear.] Hmm? Oh. [Kifaru turns to face the sparring match.] Whoo-hoo! Yeah! Go!
	A nearby tickbird who is standing on a rhinoceros' back looks at Mwenzi.
Tickbird	Gotta tell ya. I'm surprised to see you here. I heard you two split up!
Mwenzi	Who, us?
Kifaru and Mwenzi	Never!
Kifaru	Whoo!
	The camera pans right to show the Lion Guard watching Kifaru and Mwenzi contentedly.
Kion	Looks like they're having a really great time.
Fuli	*chuckles* Totally. I'm glad they made it here together.
Beshte	It must be great to have a friend with you all the time.
Bunga	Yeah! Hey, Ono! Wanna be my tickbird?
	Bunga crouches down, offering his back to Ono.
Ono	*laughs* I'll always be your friend, Bunga. But my tickbird days are over.
Beshte, Fuli, and Kion	*laugh*
	The credits roll.
