“ | Nobi: When you're small like me, you get pushed around big time. Plus, I can't do anything! I can't fly! I can't swim! I need respect! I need... Rafiki: You want your Rafiki wish, no? Nobi: Exactly, yes. |
” |
Nobi is a male mouse.
Due to his small size, Nobi was viciously bullied by a gang of elephants. After a particularly brutal beating, he begged Rafiki to change him into a creature that was tall and could fly and swim. Though Rafiki warned Nobi that true respect came from within, he acquiesced to the mouse's request. After the transformation, Nobi attempted to demand respect from other animals, only for them to continue to treat him with aggression and disdain. This prompted Nobi to change back to normal and stand up for himself instead.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Nobi lived in the Pride Lands. Because of his small size, he was frequently picked on by a gang of elephants.[1]
Transformation[]

Nobi is bullied by the elephants.
While Nobi was sleeping in his log, he heard a sound. He got up to investigate, only for an elephant trunk to grab him. He was then yanked from his home and surrounded by three elephant bullies. The leader suggested that they use the mouse as a baseball. Using a nearby log as a bat, the elephant hit Nobi so hard that he landed near Rafiki's tree.
Nobi told Rafiki that he was sick of being pushed around because of his small size. When Rafiki told Nobi about the "Rafiki wish," the mouse wished that he could fly like a bird, swim like a fish, and be as tall as a giraffe so that he could gain more respect. Rafiki replied that respect came from within but agreed to grant Nobi's wish regardless. With his magic, Rafiki transformed the mouse into a creature with wings, a long neck, and a fish tail.

After Rafiki granted Nobi's wish, he took the mouse to the top of his tree and taught him how to fly. As Nobi was flying, he encountered two vultures, who made fun of him and showed off their superior flying skills. Nobi tried to prove that he could fly just as well as them, but when he attempted to mimic one of their tricks, he was hit by an airplane and fell into a ravine.
While underwater, Nobi scared the nearby sea creatures and believed that he had finally earned some respect. The mouse started playing baseball with an eel who had provoked him. Rafiki caught Nobi, reprimanded him, and told him to let the eel go.

After talking with Rafiki, Nobi saw the elephant bullies shaking his log, as they believed that he was inside. Nobi demanded the elephants let go of his home, but instead of listening to him, they merely started bullying him again, this time by playing tackle football with him.
After Rafiki scared the elephants away, the mandrill told the mouse that he could take Nobi's wish back. When Nobi wished to turn back to his normal self, Rafiki reminded him that respect came from within. He then granted the wish. Once Nobi was a mouse again, the leader of the bullies returned and was about to use Nobi as a basketball when Nobi stood up to him and ordered him to never pick on anyone else again. The elephant was angered by Nobi's words and ran off. Nobi then thanked Rafiki for helping him realize how he could truly earn respect.[1]
Physical appearance[]
Nobi is a small and slender mouse. He has white fur, with black hands and lower arms, pink inner ears, and a red nose. His eyes are black.
After being transformed by Rafiki, Nobi became considerably larger and taller, and attained a massive sagging belly. He grew small white wings with yellow undersides as well as a white fish tail with black fins.[1]
Personality and traits[]

Despite his dislike of bullying, Nobi briefly became a bully himself.
Initially, Nobi was timid and unfortunate, as he was constantly bullied for his small size. After getting fed up with the poor treatment, Nobi wished to be as tall as a giraffe, to swim like a fish, and to fly like a bird so that he could earn more respect. While in his larger form, Nobi himself became a bully and abused creatures who were smaller or weaker than he was. Eventually, Rafiki reprimanded him and helped him realize that true respect came from within. Nobi took Rafiki's advice to heart by bravely standing up to the leader of the elephant bullies and ordering him to stop bullying other animals.[1]
