Nala? Is it really you?
Simba recognizes his childhood friend, Nala[src]

"Nala, Is It Really You?" is a musical piece composed by Hans Zimmer for The Lion King. It was released on June 24, 2014, as part of The Legacy Collection: The Lion King.

Use

In the soundtracks

"Nala, Is It Really You?" was first released as a track titled "Nala Attacks" on the complete film score. However, the album was retracted after one day. On June 24, 2014, The Legacy Collection: The Lion King was released, with "Nala Attacks" having been remixed and titled "Nala, Is It Really You?".

In the film

"Nala, Is It Really You?" can be heard from when Pumbaa stalks a bug through the jungle to just before the "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" sequence. It includes the chase with Nala and the happy reunion of adult Simba and his childhood friend.

Behind the scenes

  • During the part in which Simba and Nala enthusiastically greet each other, flute notes from their childhood theme score can be heard.
