One lion's hope cannot change the fate of Milele!
―Mobo to Mufasa[src]

Mobo is a male cape buffalo. He resided in Milele under the reign of King Mufasa.

When Mufasa first arrived in Milele, he was followed by a hostile pride of lions known as the Outsiders. Initially, Mobo and the other residents of Milele were hesitant to help Mufasa, but after he gave a speech persuading them to band together, they agreed to fight alongside him. Together, the animals of Milele drove away the Outsiders and made Mufasa their new king.

Mobo countered that one lion's hope could not change the fate of Milele, but Mufasa replied that the animals could save their home if they worked together. Swayed by Mufasa's speech, Mobo joined his fellow animals in fighting off the Outsiders. After the battle, they made Mufasa their king.[1]
