I noticed that a lot of character histories have the exact same text as others, which is fine, but it's pretty boring to read cause there's nothing unique about it. I'm not saing it's a bad thing, I just think it's boring cause it's actually making the same exact thing over and over.
We tend to copy-paste for utility purposes; it is easier and helps us publish more content faster. If you would like to differ up the way information is phrased, you are free to reword it. For myself, I would rather publish new content, such as quotes pages or transcripts, than spend time rewording articles.
Just popping in here since I am responsible for a lot of the copy-pasting, especially when it comes to The Lion Guard. As Honeyfur said, copying and pasting can be a lot more efficient than coming up with unique on-the-spot summaries for every character, location, etc. This was especially true back when new episodes of TLG were coming out, which happened several times a month - I figured our readers would probably appreciate having the copy-paste summaries rather than no summaries at all. Now that TLG isn't airing anymore, however, it would be easier to go back and make some of the summaries a bit more personal and pertinent to the article's subject. If you'd like to help out with that, feel free to do so. :)
When I reverted an edit on Shenzi (2019 film), somehow all of the spacing on the page was messed up, and I'm honestly not sure how to get everything back to the way it's supposed to be. So, could you please fix it for me?
EDIT: Never mind. Someone else fixed it. Though I'm still not sure why the spacing was messed up when I reverted the edit...

Note: There was a theory of that when Season 2 Lion Guard was planed to make The Brightest Star, but it is removed. Altough officialy was made when i created this Episode from Season 2.
Hey Honeyfur, was hoping you might know the answer to this. I started going through the Special:Wantedpages on the wiki to see about getting rid of some redlinks. However, I ran into a bit of a snag with a few, seen here. All these links to “Taka/Scar” are on archived, unregistered user talk pages that I, despite being an admin, am unable to edit.
Do you have the ability to edit pages like that, or know how I might be able to do so? If not it’s not a big deal, but it would be nice if we could get items like that cleaned up.
Happy to help; I've always been a fan of doing it. And honestly, it's the sort of project I need now that nearly all the Lion Guard articles are caught up with the end of the series. Unless I've missed something, Ono is the only character who still needs some biography info for season three now that Makini has been finished up.
Yeah, I've noticed that on at least one other wiki where I'm the actual bureaucrat. It's unfortunate, especially when the only thing you need to do is delete some brackets...
Yeah, there shouldn’t be any characters left except Ono and maybe some side characters. Been trying to clean those up myself recently.
If you need something to do, we recently implemented transcripts for the films and television series. Pink and I have been working through the films. It’s something to do if you have nothing else to work on. :)
It’s pretty frustrating, but at least the talk pages are archived, so they don’t look as messy. I wonder why the database feels the need to lock us out. *shrugs*
I might give that a shot at some point. There’s 250+ Wanted Pages at the moment, so I imagine that’ll keep me busy for a while. Yeah, it’s strange, and there’s no apparent rhyme or reason. It’s not an age issue, because I’ve run across talk pages as old or older than the ones that are locked that I have been able to edit. Perhaps it’s because the editors in question edited without logging in...
It might also be because they’re all unregistered users. I know at some point, Fandom blocked unregistered users from editing here since we are technically a children’s site. So their user and talk pages may be classified as “discontinued.”
Well, it's definitely the section headings-if an archived page has them you can edit those sections, but pages without them-or messages at the top of the page with no heading-can't be touched. I'll see what I can get cleaned up on my own, and then we can chat with the Fandom folks about whether or not they can help us with the rest.
Yes, the date attached to this book is odd. I'm not sure exactly what its status is, as Amazon is the only official website with any information on it. Perhaps we could move the release date to the trivia due to the uncertainty of the project.
Yes, that seems likely. But unless we have a source, we can't really make a definitive claim either way. If you question the legitimacy of the article, I would suggest bringing it up on its talk page so the community can decide.
I agree. It has been moved to the trivia. As I mentioned, you can post on the talk page if you want to propose its deletion. Perhaps it’s a conversation we can have as a wiki if we want to delete articles about cancelled books.
Because of the nature of song lyrics, punctuation can be confusing and tricky to place. Sometimes, sentences will be arranged in a way that it's not clear where the punctuation markers should go, so it's safer to simply omit them unless absolutely necessary.
