Mbeya joins the Lion Guard's efforts against the Outlanders[src]

Mbeya's crash is a herd of rhinoceroses led by Mbeya. They reside in the Pride Lands.

When an army of Outlanders led by the spirit of Scar began waging frequent attacks on the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard gathered together several Pride Lander herds to help defend the kingdom. At first, the Pride Landers struggled to work together. However, when Scar's army attacked Makuu's watering hole, they banded together to drive the Outlanders from the Pride Lands.

Later, Mbeya's crash joined their fellow Pride Landers in invading the Outlands and defeating Scar's army once and for all.

Beshte and Ono recruit Mbeya's crash.

After the Lion Guard concluded that they must unite the Pride Landers against the threat of the Outlanders, Beshte and Ono appealed to Mbeya's crash for help. Though Mbeya expressed doubt that his crash could be useful, Kifaru encouraged him to join up with the Guard. This ultimately convinced him to commit the rhinoceroses to the Guard's cause.

Along with several other Pride Lander herds, Mbeya's crash journeyed to Pride Rock to convene with the Lion Guard. In an effort to get the Pride Landers to work together, Kion tasked them with racing across the savanna toward Bunga. However, the larger animals nearly trampled the galagos and so ended up tripping over one another and ending up in a heap.

Next, Kion asked Makuu to help train the Pride Landers, but he soon became fed up with their inability to replicate his fighting moves and so abandoned the Guard's cause. Taking advantage of the crocodiles' isolation, the Army of Scar attacked their watering hole. Though Kion feared the Pride Landers were not ready to work together, they assured him that they were.

Together, the Lion Guard and their Pride Lander allies approached Makuu's watering hole and helped fight off the Outlanders. Afterwards, Makuu thanked them for their help and vowed to assist them should they ever need it.[8]
