Leo is a male lion. He is a member of Simba's pride.
Leo bragged to his fellow Pride Landers about his family tree. However, they pointed out that he was simply jealous of Simba's ancestry. Their comments confused Simba's son, Kopa, who believed a family tree was a physical object, and caused him to search for his family tree in the desert. After Kopa went missing, Leo volunteered to help look for him.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Leo lived in the Pride Lands as a member of Simba's pride.[1]
Encounter with Kopa[]
“ | Ngawa: Cubs! They say the darndest things! Leo: Which reminds me, did I ever tell you about the time my great-grandfather saved a cub from a- Sabini: About a hundred times, Leo! |
” |
Leo talked to a group of Pride Landers, which included Babu, Boga, Mega, Ngawa, and Sabini. He asked the group if he had ever told them about the time his great-grandfather had chased a herd of elephants. The lions groaned, and Boga said, "About a hundred times!" Ngawa told Leo that he had heard it was the elephants who had chased his great-grandfather and that, in fact, the elephants had been mice. Leo growled, and Sabini pointed out that he really just wanted Simba's family tree.
Leo was disgruntled and spat out that his family tree was much better than Simba's. Kopa, the prince of the Pride Lands, was confused by this statement and believed family trees to be physical objects. The Pride Landers laughed at Kopa's bewilderment, and Mega told the cub to ask his father for clarification. After Kopa left, Leo asked the group if he had ever told them about the time his great-grandfather had saved a cub. However, he was interrupted by Sabini, who cried out, "About a hundred times, Leo!"
Later, Leo volunteered to help Simba find Kopa, who had run off in search of his family tree.[1]
Physical appearance[]
Leo is a large, muscular lion. He has cream-colored fur and a full brown mane, with a pale chest, muzzle, and paws. His eyes are brown.[1]
Personality and traits[]
“ | Sabini: Get real, Leo! What you want is Simba's family tree, and you'll never have it. Leo: Hmmph. My family tree is even better than Simba's!

” |
Leo is an excessive show-off and loves to brag about his family's accomplishments. It is suggested that he exaggerates these stories profusely, as his friends frequently doubt his claims. Even so, he is brave and heroic, and was willing to look for Kopa after he went missing.[1]
