Laini's group is a group of galagos led by Laini. They reside in the Pride Lands.
When an army of Outlanders in Scar's service began attacking the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard resolved to unite the various Pride Lander factions against them, including the galagos. At first, the Pride Landers struggled to work together, but over time, they became a coordinated team.
Eventually, it came to light that Scar's spirit had been resurrected, and the Pride Landers briefly debated whether they should leave the Pride Lands or not. With some encouragement from Kion, they decided to remain in the kingdom and resist Scar's tyranny. Over the seasons, they worked together to protect the Pride Lands from Scar and his army, a conflict that culminated in a Pride Lander invasion of the Outlands. After an extended fight, the Pride Landers emerged victorious, and Kion destroyed Scar's spirit once and for all.
History[]
Fuli's rescue[]
“ | ” |
One day, Laini and two of her friends were hanging perilously from a tree branch in Ndefu Grove when their cries reached the Lion Guard. Before the three galagos could fall from the tree, Fuli raced over and saved them. Afterwards, they clung to her back, kneading her fur, and Bunga had to pry them off.[1]
Conflict with Badili[]

Laini's group flees from Badili.
While the Lion Guard was lounging at Hakuna Matata Falls, the galagos rushed up to them, yelling for help. When questioned by Beshte, Laini explained that a ferocious leopard had taken up residence in their tree. Just as the Guard was about to deal with the situation, Ono approached with news that Shingo the giraffe had gotten stuck in an acacia tree. Though Laini begged Kion to chase off the leopard first, he told her that they needed to help Shingo.
At first, the galagos waited at Hakuna Matata Falls for the Lion Guard. However, when Pumbaa loudly passed gas, they fled in terror and once more begged the Lion Guard for help. Upon realizing the source of their distress, the Guard explained that it had simply been Pumbaa and that the galagos were in no danger. Even so, Laini insisted that they wanted to remain with the Guard, and Kion agreed to let them come along.

Once at the galagos' tree, Kion implored the galagos to stay put while the Lion Guard dealt with the leopard. With the galagos spectating fearfully, Fuli questioned the leopard, Badili, on why he had frightened them, and he claimed that he had not known he was taking anyone's home. He suggested that he share the tree with the galagos, but Laini refused his offer, and Kion insisted that he must return home. Reluctantly, he allowed the Guard to escort him back to Mirihi Forest.
The next day, the galagos rushed up to the Lion Guard again and informed them that Badili had returned. This time, the Lion Guard taught Badili to stand up for himself so that he would no longer be driven from his territory by Mapigano. Shortly after Badili had left, Laini appealed to the Guard for help once more, asserting that someone else was in the galagos' tree. The Guard followed her to the tree, only to find Bunga asleep in its branches. Upon waking, Bunga drew Laini into a hug, and she declared that perhaps Badili had not been so bad after all.[2]
Traveling Baboon Show[]
Laini's group spectated a performance by the Traveling Baboon Show. Some of the galagos were used as props for the troop's disappearing trick.[3]

As the dry season began, Janja invaded the Pride Lands and tried to attack Laini's group. However, Kion intervened and saved the galagos. Later, as Ma Tembo searched for a new water source, the galagos took to following her.[4]
Lion Guard's rescue[]

When Laini and two of her fellow galagos got stuck underneath a tree, Beshte lifted the trunk, while Bunga helped free the galagos. While assisting the galagos, Bunga got distracted by a nearby grub, so Fuli freed Laini instead. After the rescue, Laini thanked the Lion Guard for their help.[5]
Kumbuka celebration[]
Laini's group attended the Kumbuka celebration at Pride Rock.[6]
Sheltering Ma Tembo's herd[]
“ | ” |
When the Army of Scar devastated Kilio Valley with a fire, Kion requested that Ma Tembo's herd stay with Laini and her galagos in Ndefu Grove. At first, Laini was receptive to the elephants staying with them. However, when the herd's heavy footsteps disturbed the galagos' quality of life, she insisted that the arrangement was a disaster and that the elephants must seek shelter elsewhere.

Later, a fire broke out at Ndefu Grove, and Laini begged the Lion Guard for help. While Beshte and Ono worked to combat the fire, Bunga, Fuli, and Kion found the remaining galagos stuck in a tree and convinced them to jump onto their backs. Once they had carried the galagos to safety, Beshte reported that the fire was not being put out fast enough, and so, Kion appealed to Ma Tembo's herd for help. Working with the Guard, the elephants put out the fire at Ndefu Grove.
Afterwards, Laini thanked the elephants for their help and invited them to stay with her galagos at Ndefu Grove. Ma Tembo gratefully accepted her offer.[7]
Encounter with Shujaa[]

While roaming the Pride Lands, Beshte and his friend, Shujaa, found Laini's group in a tree. Laini worried that the serval wanted to eat them, but the serval claimed that he was simply stuck. In an attempt to rectify the situation, Shujaa bent a tree branch to the ground so that the serval could climb out of the tree. However, when he let go of the branch, he accidentally catapulted the galagos into a different tree. He offered to assist the galagos in returning home, but Laini insisted that they could do so on their own.[8]
Training with the Pride Landers[]

Laini's group nearly gets trampled by Bupu's herd.
One day, Bupu's herd feared they had seen a jackal and started a stampede. Frightened by the prospect of a jackal attack, the galagos fled as well. Kion ordered Bunga to round the galagos up to prevent them from getting trampled, and Bunga safely returned them to their tree. Once Bupu's herd had been calmed, the Lion Guard resolved to gather the Pride Landers together and train them to resist future Outlander attacks.
Later, several Pride Lander groups gathered at Pride Rock. Despite Bupu's and Fuli's doubts about Laini's group, Kion reminded them that the galagos were Pride Landers too. At that moment, Laini attempted to assume command of the other Pride Landers, but Ma Tembo stopped her. Kion noted that the galagos were fast and so arranged for the Pride Landers to race toward Bunga. However, in trying to run toward Bunga, the larger Pride Landers fretted over tripping over the galagos and ended up falling into a heap. Without any competition, the galagos won the race.

In another attempt to train the Pride Landers, Kion recruited Makuu for help. Before long, Makuu grew frustrated at the other Pride Landers' inability to replicate his moves and so abandoned the undertaking, asserting that his float would only look after themselves from then on.
Shortly afterwards, the Army of Scar besieged Makuu's watering hole, and the Pride Landers insisted on helping the Lion Guard save the crocodiles. Working together, the Guard and the Pride Landers defeated the Outlanders, after which Kion expelled them using the Roar of the Elders. Makuu then thanked the Pride Landers for their help and vowed to do the same for them should trouble arise.[9]
Dhahabu's visit[]
Laini's group gathered at Pride Rock to watch Queen Dhahabu of the Back Lands arrive in the Pride Lands to discuss a water treaty with Simba.[10]
Army of Scar's attack on Mizimu Grove[]
“ | Bupu: Of course we'd want to leave! Laini: Why wouldn't we?
|
” |
During Makini's mpando mpaya at Mizimu Grove, the Army of Scar attacked the gathered Pride Landers. Initially, the Pride Landers worked together to fight the invading Outlanders. However, when Scar's spirit emerged in a nearby fire and threatened to overtake the Pride Lands, they fled Mizimu Grove in fear, with Laini's group riding atop the sable antelope's heads. Fuli soon caught up to the sable antelope and implored them to stop moments before they could careen over a cliff.

Laini's group considers leaving the Pride Lands.
Once the Pride Landers had calmed, they returned to Mizimu Grove, where Simba confessed that he had kept Scar's return a secret for fear that his subjects would leave the Pride Lands. In response, both Bupu and Laini expressed a desire to leave. Somberly, Simba told the Pride Landers to inform him of their final decisions the following morning at Pride Rock.
Come morning, the Pride Landers started to share their decisions with Simba, only for Kion to plead with them to follow him to Mizimu Grove. With Kion in the lead, the Pride Landers journeyed to Mizimu Grove, where they found that Makini's baobab seedling had survived Scar's fire. Inspired by the seedling's survival, they decided to remain in the Pride Lands and resist Scar's tyranny.[11]
Battle for the Pride Lands[]
“ | Fuli: Galagos? Kion: I know what you're thinkin', but if we're invading the Outlands, we'll need all the help we can get.

” |
Laini's group trained with the other Pride Landers at Pride Rock in anticipation of a fight with Scar and his army. Later, they assembled with their fellow Pride Landers to invade the Outlands. During the ensuing battle, Laini rode on Bupu's head and attacked Goigoi. The Pride Landers ended up winning the battle, after which Laini's group looked on as Jasiri was appointed the ruler of the Outlands.[12]
