Jim Cummings is a veteran American voice actor and singer. He provided the voice of Ed in The Lion King, The Lion King 1½, The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa, and Kingdom Hearts II.
Biography[]
During production of The Lion King, Cummings recorded over 4 hours of different laughter clips for use with Ed's dialogue. Also, he did some additional singing for Scar during the recording session of "Be Prepared" when his co-star Jeremy Irons damaged his vocal chords after screaming, "You won't get a sniff without me!" Cummings later reprised the role of Scar in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
