Here's a tasty little tidbit for us, eh, Fisi?
―Jake, as he and Fisi advance on Zazu[src]

Jake is a male hyena.

Jake and his hunting partner, Fisi, infiltrated the Pride Lands and slaughtered four waterbuck. In order to find the perpetrators of the killings, Simba used his majordomo, Zazu, as bait and lured the hyenas into the open. Jake and Fisi ended up confessing their crime to Zazu, and so Simba drove them out of the kingdom with the help of his ally, Kifaru.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Jake lived in a territory outside the Pride Lands. At some point in his life, he became hunting partners with a fellow hyena named Fisi.[1]

Hunting in the Pride Lands[]

Along with Fisi, Jake invaded the Pride Lands and killed four waterbuck. The hyenas enjoyed the dying animals' suffering and left the carcasses to rot near Kifo River. After the killings, two waterbuck named Kuro and Kanga reported the incident to Simba, who agreed to investigate the situation.

That night, Simba and his allies, Kifaru and Zazu, spotted two dark shapes that were lurking in the shadows. Per Simba's instructions, Zazu acted as bait and lured the hyenas into the open. Jake showed interest in eating Zazu, but Fisi pointed out that they had eaten recently. Zazu claimed that he was too tough for the hyenas to eat, but Jake laughed and remarked that Zazu would not be tougher than the waterbuck they had killed the other day. The hyenas then began to crow about how much they had enjoyed their victims' suffering.

At the hyenas' confession, Simba showed himself and attacked Jake. Fisi tried to flee, but Kifaru blocked his path. Together, Simba and Kifaru drove the hyenas out of the Pride Lands.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Jake is a ferocious predator who enjoys the suffering of his victims. Unlike Fisi, he will kill even if he is not hungry.[1]
