Happy Dog is a male dog. He is the pet and sidekick of Dr. Happy.
Happy Dog assisted Dr. Happy in bringing endangered animals to an animal sanctuary, including Timon and Pumbaa. 28 years after their arrival, Timon and Pumbaa began to feel homesick and resolved to return home. They used potato sacks to distract Dr. Happy and Happy Dog, during which they escaped the preserve. However, while chasing the potato sacks, Dr. Happy and Happy Dog ran back into Timon and Pumbaa, who fled for fear of being captured again.
Later, when Bartholomew escaped Dr. Happy's lab, Happy Dog warned his master of the situation. Dr. Happy assured Happy Dog that they would re-capture Bartholomew the following day.

Early life[]
Happy Dog was adopted by Dr. Happy. Together, the two brought endangered animals to an animal sanctuary.[1]
Encounter with Timon and Pumbaa[]
Dr. Happy and Happy Dog encounter Timon and Pumbaa.
Timon and Pumbaa were taken to an animal sanctuary by Dr. Happy, who believed they were endangered species, and lived there for 28 years. Over time, the two friends began to feel homesick and made an escape plan while Dr. Happy was distracted. The duo used two sacks of potatoes as dummies of themselves escaping the sanctuary. Dr. Happy and Happy Dog chased the potato sacks as well as some other animals while Timon and Pumbaa tunneled out.
After their plan succeeded, Timon and Pumbaa were happy to relive their old lives. Dr. Happy and Happy Dog chased the sacks of potatoes and ran into Timon and Pumbaa, who attempted to escape again, as they were worried that he would force them to live at the wildlife preserve again.[1]
Bartholomew's escape[]
While Dr. Happy was sleeping, Happy Dog told his owner that a monster named Bartholomew had escaped from their lab. Showing little concern about Bartholomew's escape, Dr. Happy suggested that they look for him the next day.[2]
Physical appearance[]
Happy Dog is a small and stout dog. He has blue fur, with black eyebrows, a hairless tail, and black eyes with yellow sclerae. He wears a red collar.[1]

Happy Dog is a loyal companion to Dr. Happy and works tirelessly to achieve his master's goals.[1]
