Saved by the Lion Guard[]

BungatheWise16

Gumba's mother realizes that her troop is in danger.

During a rainstorm, Gumba's mother and her troop took shelter in a tree. The Lion Guard attempted to coax them down, but the baboons continually refused. However, when Ono warned them of the danger they were in, Gumba's mother supported his claim. When the tree broke, Ono rescued Gumba and delivered him safely to his mother.[1]

Later, when Kifaru the rhinoceros lost his tickbird, Mwenzi, he accidentally bumped into the baboon leader's tree. This startled Gumba's mother, who beat a hasty retreat.[2]

Conflict with Shujaa[]

When Shujaa attempted to clear a path through Nyani Grove, Gumba's mother fled from the destruction.[3]

Lion Guard's trip to the Tree of Life[]

Later, when Fuli returned from the Tree of Life with her friend, Azaad, Gumba's mother and her troop welcomed them back.[4]

Physical appearance[]

Gumba's mother is a moderately sized baboon. She has brown fur, with a pale chest, a pink face and ears, and spiky dark brown hair. Her eyes are green.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Gumba's mother is protective of her son. Additionally, she is more reasonable than her fellow baboons, as she was the only member of her troop to listen to Ono's warnings of danger.[1]
