The ghost is a male spirit.
In order to prove himself to be scary, the ghost placed an ad in the newspaper about a haunted mansion. Timon and Pumbaa arrived at the mansion and volunteered to get rid of the spirit. While Timon made many attempts to defeat the ghost, Pumbaa became convinced that the ghost was good deep down and simply needed the chance to prove himself. Eventually, the mansion owner revealed himself to be the ghost in disguise and admitted that he had simply needed positive reinforcement. He then allowed the duo to sleep at his mansion for the night.
Biography[]
Early life[]
The ghost lived in a mansion. In the guise of an elderly old man, he placed an ad in a newspaper, which asked for company and posited that his mansion was haunted.[1]
Haunting Timon and Pumbaa[]
The ghost meets Timon and Pumbaa in the form of the mansion owner.
When Pumbaa pulled out a piece of newspaper to blow his nose, he showed Timon an ad, which stated that a mansion owner believed his house to be haunted by ghosts and wanted company. The ad also stated that there were big, comfy beds available at the mansion, much to Timon's delight. Pumbaa told Timon that he was afraid of ghosts, but Timon claimed that they did not exist and stated that he was not afraid of anything. However, Pumbaa reminded him about his fear of big-winged bugs with sharp stingers and giant tentacle monsters, which they had seen in a scary movie. Timon then decided that he and Pumbaa should become Ghost Mashers.
Timon and Pumbaa arrived at the mansion and convinced the owner that his bedroom was haunted and that they were there to get rid of the spirit. While Timon walked downstairs with the owner, Pumbaa saw that the bedroom was really haunted. Meanwhile, Timon made the owner leave his house and told him not to return until their work was done.

When Timon settled down to sleep on the bed, he found the ghost. Scared by what he had seen, the meerkat escaped the mansion. When Pumbaa reminded Timon that he was afraid of bugs with sharp stingers, the ghost transformed into one and shot his stingers around Timon.
When the ghost left, Pumbaa decided to follow him, as he believed that he was soft deep down. While Pumbaa was looking for the ghost, Timon felt a cold spot and found the spirit. Pumbaa tried to get the ghost to show who he really was, which he did by making a typical ghost sound. When Timon tried to escape again, Pumbaa reminded his friend about his fear of the tentacle monsters that they had once seen in a scary movie, and the ghost transformed himself into one and attacked Timon. As a result, Timon decided to get rid of the ghost once and for all.
Timon found a spell that would get the ghost to the other side where he belonged, but Pumbaa tried to convince his friend that the spirit needed more time to prove himself. When Timon made the ghost show up, the meerkat accidentally cast a spell that made himself possessed by the ghost.
The mansion owner reveals himself to be the ghost.
After Timon made the ghost come out of him, he cast the spell to get rid of the spirit, which ended in success. While Timon was happy about what he had done, Pumbaa told him that the ghost just wanted to be accepted. The owner returned, and Timon told him that the mansion was no longer haunted. However, the owner revealed himself to be the ghost, much to Timon's surprise and fear. The ghost then told the duo that he had placed the ad in the newspaper in order to prove himself to be scary and that all he had needed was positive reinforcement about who he really was. He told Timon that he owed him and that he would let him and Pumbaa stay in the mansion for as long as they wanted, as he knew the meerkat wanted to get some sleep.
That night, Timon, Pumbaa, and the ghost were about to sleep, but Timon trembled in fear.[1]
