At the start of the game, Gaucíngoua sends out Kigali to gather a report of the animals who have fled the Pride Lands. He then meets with Timon and Pumbaa, instructing them to find the animals and bring them home to Simba's kingdom.
Throughout the game, Gaucíngoua can be consulted for advice, and he meets with Timon and Pumbaa in-between missions, congratulating them on their hard work. At the end of the game, he watches the bonfire celebration from afar.
The aged Gaucíngoua is quite large for a rhinoceros, with a massively hunched back and thick legs. His hide is wrinkled and colored a very pale gray, while his horn and toenails are paler in color. His horn has a deep gouge in the center, indicating a past accident, though his hide is relatively free of scars. He has bushy white eyebrows and a long white beard that grazes the ground.
Personality and traits
True to his age, Gaucíngoua is patient and wise, with an inclination to do good. He is a hard worker who proves his loyalty to Simba by undertaking a difficult mission. Despite his age, he still has a taste for adventure, as he wistfully remarks to Timon and Pumbaa that he would like to join them if not for his age.
