History[]

Hippo lanes[]

Chura rides on Beshte's back through the hippo lanes.

When his father, Basi, got injured, Beshte volunteered to take over the job of making hippo lanes through the Flood Plains. As the young hippopotamus began his work, he was joined by several small animals, including the frog Chura. After Beshte proved his great strength by charging through an enormous boulder, a weaver admitted that she was not sure whether or not Beshte could handle making hippo lanes. Chura was quick to defend Beshte, however, reminding the weaver of the hippo's status as the strongest in the Pride Lands. Chura then told Beshte to ignore the weaver's comments and declared that he was doing a "dandy" job.

Shortly afterward, Chura noticed that Beshte was traveling in the opposite direction of her destination. The frog asked Beshte to turn around, and he kindly obliged. Laini also requested that Beshte drop her off at Ndefu Grove, and he agreed. Once again, Chura reminded them all that since Beshte was the strongest animal in the Pride Lands, he would not mind. Eventually, Beshte delivered Chura to her destination, and the frog hopped away after thanking the young hippo.[1]

Kion's therapy[]

Several frogs hopped on Kion's body as part of his therapy at the Tree of Life.[2]
