This is perfect! Yes! Totally perfect! I think.
―Ogopa[src]

Ogopa is a female aardwolf. She is a member of Mjomba's pack.

While scrounging around aardvark dens, Ogopa and her packmates were mistaken for hyenas by the Lion Guard. Kion ordered the pack to leave, then used the Roar of the Elders to blast them into the Outlands. There, the aardwolves met two jackals named Goigoi and Reirei. The jackals managed to fool the pack into trusting them, after which they trapped the aardwolves in a cave and attacked them. Just in time, the Lion Guard arrived and drove off the jackals. With the aardwolves' trust in the Lion Guard restored, the two groups returned to the Pride Lands, and the aardwolves ended the kingdom's termite infestation.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Ogopa lived in the Pride Lands as a member of Mjomba's pack.[1]

Exiled to the Outlands[]

We are so lucky we picked this cave to hide in!
―Ogopa expresses her trust in Goigoi and Reirei[src]

One night, Ogopa and her pack were scrounging around Muhangus and Muhanga's dens when they attracted the attention of the Lion Guard. Kion erroneously referred to the pack as hyenas and demanded that they leave the Pride Lands. He then used the Roar of the Elders to blow Ogopa and her pack into the Outlands.

Ogopa spies on the Lion Guard alongside Haya and Mjomba.

Over the next few days, Ogopa and her packmates took shelter behind a large rock. Eventually, the Lion Guard entered the Outlands in search of the aardwolves, as termites had begun to infest the kingdom in the pack's absence. Ogopa panicked at the sight of them and joined her packmates, Haya and Mjomba, in spying on the Lion Guard as they drew nearer. The aardwolves' panic heightened as they heard the Lion Guard debating whether they should sneak up behind or surround the pack when they found them.

The aardwolves drew back to convene. Before they could come to a decision, Bunga stumbled into their midst, frightening them off. Ogopa fled in terror alongside her packmates until the aardwolves managed to lose the Lion Guard and take shelter in a large cave.

Ogopa confides in Reirei.

Shortly after escaping the Lion Guard, the aardwolves met their new neighbors, Goigoi and Reirei. The jackals reassured Ogopa and her pack that they were nothing like the Lion Guard, and the aardwolves expressed relief that they had such kind neighbors.

Afterward, Mjomba arrived with news that the Lion Guard wanted the aardwolves to return to the Pride Lands. However, before the pack could leave with him, Goigoi and Reirei trapped them in the cave and launched an attack. Just in time, the Lion Guard arrived and rescued the aardwolves, thus winning back their trust. Together, the aardwolves and their saviors returned to the Pride Lands, where the pack resolved the kingdom's termite infestation.[1]

Physical appearance[]

Ogopa is slightly smaller and thinner than her packmates. Her pelt is gray and carries a slight tinge of purple, and her back, head, and legs are covered in black stripes. Her underbelly is pale gray, and her eyes are black. Like her fellow aardwolves, Ogopa strongly resembles a hyena.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Ogopa is hysterical and skittish, with an inclination to stress and worry over every decision. She is generally cheerful and optimistic but can scare easily and has a tendency to jump to conclusions.[1]
