Ernie was a male warthog. He was the uncle of Pumbaa.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Ernie had a nephew named Pumbaa.[1]
Post-mortem[]
After failing to catch a cricket, Pumbaa told Timon that he could not catch bugs anymore, but Timon believed that the problem was Pumbaa's sight, hearing, and sense of smell. In an effort to help Pumbaa, Timon bought his friend a pair of glasses, two horns for his ears, and a vacuum cleaner for his snout.
As Pumbaa hunted for the cricket, he fell off a cliff and passed out. While unconscious, he dreamed that he got caught by crickets. Ernie showed up in the clouds and told his nephew that he could do anything that he put his mind to but that he must believe in himself. At the conclusion of Ernie's speech, Pumbaa woke up and followed his uncle's orders.[1]
