El Toro is a male bull.
Carlos and Consuelo Quint mistook Pumbaa for a bull and so used him as a replacement for El Toro. Outraged at being replaced, El Toro returned and fought Pumbaa and his friend, Timon. The duo eventually outsmarted El Toro by putting him in a toilet.
Later, Timon agitated El Toro, which distracted him from the running of the bulls. Their fight dragged on so long that Pumbaa interfered, chasing the two to the gate where the fight had begun. Afterward, El Toro and Timon relaxed at a beach while Pumbaa ran around crazily nearby.
Biography[]
Early life[]
El Toro lived in Spain.[1]
Stadium fight with Timon and Pumbaa[]
El Toro confronts Timon in the stadium.
When Timon and Pumbaa looked at a billboard about El Toro, Timon told his friend that he was three times as brave as the bull. He dressed up like a matador and made Pumbaa dress up like a bull so that he could show Pumbaa what he would do if he were fighting against El Toro. While Pumbaa was running, Carlos and Consuelo Quint mistook him for an actual bull and captured him so that he could replace El Toro. But El Toro refused to leave without a fight, so he returned and started to fight Timon. When Timon and Pumbaa were at the stadium about to get attacked by El Toro, the two saved themselves by putting the bull in a toilet.[1]
Skirmish with Timon[]
El Toro and Timon get into an argument.
Timon and Pumbaa visited Spain. While on their vacation, Timon started to agitate El Toro. When the running of the bulls began, El Toro was not running with the other bulls because he was not done dealing with Timon. After the two argued, El Toro chased Timon all through Spain, with Pumbaa feeling unhappy about his vacation being ruined. The warthog eventually had enough of the fight between Timon and El Toro, who both somehow resolved their conflict and became friends. However, Pumbaa could not take it anymore, so he chased the two all the way to the gate where the argument had begun. Timon and El Toro later sat together at a beach, while Pumbaa ran around crazily.[2]

- El Toro's name means "the bull" in Spanish.[5]
- The El Toro from "The Pain in Spain" may not be the same El Toro as the one from "The Running of the Bullies", given the difference in their personalities and Spanish accents. Additionally, in "The Pain in Spain", when Pumbaa reminds Timon that he said he was three times as brave as El Toro, Timon replies nervously that he thought they were talking about a different El Toro, which indicates there may be more than one El Toro.[1][2]
