Eddy Houchins is an American producer, director, and animation and timing director. He produced and directed episodes of The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa, in which he also served as an animation and timing director.
Houchins was born in West Virginia. He later moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he obtained a part-time job working as a graphic artist and illustrator for an advertising agency. He attended art school at Virginia Commonwealth University. He obtained a job with an animation studio in Richmond, Virginia. He served first as a cel painter, then as an inker, then as an assistant animator, and finally as an animator of commercials and short industrial films.
Houchins later served as an animation director for films and television series such as Aladdin, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Phineas and Ferb, Chowder, and Squirrel Boy. He also served as a director for shows like Hercules: The Animated Series and The Mummy.
