Early life

Dembe lived in the desert.^[1]

Simba's return

When a tuft of Simba's mane drifted across the savanna, it was eaten, digested, and expelled from a giraffe. Dembe rolled a ball of the dung across the desert. However, it rolled down an incline and broke apart, releasing the hair to the wind.

Later, Dembe attended the presentation of Simba's newborn cub.^[1]
