Cooking Clash is a comic inspired by The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa. It was published in June of 1998 as part of this month's issue of Disney Adventures.
While Marsha Superb's cooking show, "The Perfect Chef", records, Timon and Pumbaa feast on her ingredients backstage. As Marsha prepares to show the audience how to make "baked hog," Pumbaa goes foraging for more food, and enters Marsha's fake oven via a backstage door in order to eat her dish's parsley garnish.
Oblivious to Pumbaa, Marsha removes her "dish" from the oven and proceeds to show it to the audience, much to Pumbaa's silent fright.
Marsha then proceeds to prepare Pumbaa to bake, garnishing him with vegetables and pork gravy. Meanwhile, Timon watches from backstage and tries to think of a way to help his friend escape.
Just as Marsha is almost finished preparing her "dish," Timon runs onto the stage in a chef's hat and apron. Introducing himself as Marsha's assistant chef, Timon resolves to see whether Pumbaa is done and prods a fork into Pumbaa's backside. Startled by the pain, Pumbaa makes a flying leap off the plate, much to Marsha's shock. As Pumbaa nurses his wound, Timon presents a fainted Marsha to the audience, who applaud enthusiastically.
