Circle of Life is a board book inspired by The Lion King. It was published by Mouse Works on July 1, 1994, as part of the The Lion King: Little Library.

Plot

Simba knows that he must return to the Pride Lands and take his rightful place as king. As he journeys to Pride Rock, he sees how horribly the Pride Lands have been devastated and realizes that Nala was right about its state. Simba finds his uncle, Scar, and demands that he step down. At this, Scar admits that he had killed Mufasa, and refuses to revoke his title.

Knowing the truth, Simba engages Scar in a fierce battle, with Simba's friends and Scar's hyena followers joining the fight. At last, Simba triumphs, and Scar is defeated. With a powerful roar, Simba reclaims the throne. He and Nala rule justly and eventually have a son, thus continuing the Circle of Life.
