I'll get you, and the others will get your brother!
Boma to Mufasa on his herd[src]

Boma's herd is a herd of cape buffalo led by Boma. They reside in the Pride Lands.

History[]

Attack on Mufasa and Taka[]

How dare you attack my sons!
Ahadi to Boma's herd[src]
Boma Mufasa Taka

Taka tricks Mufasa into confronting Boma.

During a drought, Boma and his herd refused to share their water hole. Out of jealousy, Taka tricked his brother, Mufasa, into asking Boma to share his water hole with the other Pride Landers. As Mufasa approached Boma, Taka roared and challenged Boma to either share his water hole or face Mufasa in combat. Accepting Taka's challenge, Boma charged at Mufasa, but he managed to escape by leaping over a ravine and causing Boma to fall in himself.

From his prone position, Boma threatened Mufasa and declared that his herd would get Taka. This made Mufasa notice that the other cape buffalo were charging at Taka and knocking him to the ground. Mufasa leaped to his brother's defense, only for their father, Ahadi, to intervene and point out the audacity of the cape buffalo attacking his sons. They simply replied that Mufasa and Taka had initiated the conflict.

After the incident, Taka retained a scar over his eye, while Boma and his herd allowed the other Pride Landers to use their water hole.[1]

Ant invasion[]

Well, I'm ready for this fight. My grandparents were taken by them years ago. I have never forgotten that awful attack.
―Boma on army ants[src]

When an army ant invasion threatened the Pride Lands, King Mufasa appealed to the Pride Landers for help. Boma agreed to assist him, as his own grandparents had fallen to army ants years ago. Along with several other Pride Landers, Boma helped push rocks off Zulu Falls, which caused the water to overflow and wash away the army ants.[2]
