I added a paragraph on the "Antelope" page titled "Examples of species" where I made a list of just a few examples of the different species of antelope. It kept always disappearing and everything I put it back on. Then I discovered I have been blocked by Pinkeony73 (Sorry for calling you out). I read that the reason for blocking me was that I was inserting gibberish/nonsense into the page. I don't understand why a list of examples of species of antelope would be considered nonsense/gibberish. I fail to see why. I just thought it would be an interesting little bit of trivia. Also, I inserted another example in "Appearances" category of a specific Lion Guard episode where klipspringers appear in, and that was removed too. If someone could please give me a better reason to why I have been blocked, I would appreciate it. Because I don't see why a list of examples is considered nonsense. Thank you..
Hi, Africannative. Before you were blocked, I explained to you that we only include in-universe information on the species. You are trying to add information that is from the real world. Sometimes, there is overlap (for example, in The Lion Guard, Kion uses realistic terms such as "elands"), but these should be the only examples listed on the antelope article. Otherwise, the information is not consistent with the fictional series.
First off, you are correct in pointing out that your edits were not nonsense; I apologize for choosing the wrong reason. However, you were informed multiple times by both myself and Honeyfur as to why your antelope edits were being removed. I quote Honeyfur's message to you:
I saw you posted on a forum about how I removed your list of antelope species. I did so because our articles concern the in-universe species; it is apart from anything in the real world. This is why we don't list the specific antelope species, unless they're mentioned in any Lion King media.
As administrators, we expect members of the community (ourselves included) to respect our wiki's rules and any updates we may administer to any pages; this is why you were warned before the block. When you did not stop adding that list of species even after multiple warnings, I issued you a short block. Again, I apologize for putting down the wrong reason when I blocked you. I will be more careful in the future.
