This song Chow Down seemed really awesome to me, in my opinion, by why didn't the movie makers added this song to the film? (I know the musical was made after the movie, but seriously?)

I personally love a lot of the songs from the musical that weren't in the original film. My favorites are "Shadowland" and "He Lives In You". As much as I love these songs, though, I kind of like how they give the musical its own unique charm.
I assume you mean adding the song to the 2003 "Special Edition" version. I personally think "Chow Down" is the weakest song of the Broadway musical. Rock music doesn't really suit with the music of The Lion King. Plus, they would have to re-animate and re-stage an entire sequence and bring back the original actors in order to properly sync and record the song, which would cost a lot of money.
The original scene we have is perfect and needs no change.
Gotta say I'm with Chris on this one. In my opinion, "Chow Down" is the worst song to ever be part of the TLK universe. (Other than "Tickbirds and Rhinos", anyway. XD) Despite the fact that the musical came after the original film, I can understand why you wouldn't put a goth rock song into a Swahili-themed movie.
