| “ | Timon: What do you suppose giant bees do with their prisoners? Pumbaa: Maybe they take them someplace fun, like a field of pretty flowers. Maybe not.

The beehive is a beehive in Big Bug Valley. It is the home of Queen Bee and her colony of bees.
After saving Timon and Pumbaa from a giant praying mantis, Buzz and several of his fellow bees brought the duo before Queen Bee. Though she wanted to feed the pair to the colony's larvae, Buzz suggested that they get put to work instead, and she reluctantly acquiesced. While training with Buzz, Timon and Pumbaa advised the colony to embrace a "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle, which led to the bees overthrowing Queen Bee and making Timon and Pumbaa their kings.
Under Timon and Pumbaa's reign, the beehive quickly fell into disrepair. Desperate for a solution, Buzz begged Queen Bee to return, and she agreed to come back, but only if the bees were loyal to her, cut out their health benefits, and banished Timon and Pumbaa from the colony. The bees fulfilled her requests and thus restored their colony to normal.
History[]
The bees take Timon and Pumbaa to their hive.
When Timon and Pumbaa entered Big Bug Valley, they got attacked by a giant praying mantis. Just in time, a group of bees led by Buzz saved them. The bees then brought the duo to their hive, and Buzz took them to meet the queen. She demanded to have Timon and Pumbaa fed to the colony's larvae, but Buzz suggested that they be put to work instead. The drones agreed with Buzz, as they figured it would increase the percentage of the working activities. Queen Bee reluctantly went along with Buzz's idea and demanded that he train Timon and Pumbaa.
Afterwards, Timon and Pumbaa thanked Buzz for having saved their lives twice. He, in turn, suggested that they repay him by being model workers so he could impress Queen Bee. First, Buzz made Timon and Pumbaa carry buckets of honey to the beehive. However, he soon found the friends relaxing in their buckets. This made the buckets too heavy for Buzz to carry, and so, he accidentally started a chain reaction of bees being knocked over. Because of all the mess, Queen Bee made Buzz report to her office.

After Queen Bee fired Buzz, Timon and Pumbaa suggested that he, as well as the other bees, relax and embrace a "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle. At first, Buzz was resistant to the idea, as he had spent his whole life working for Queen Bee, but then, he and all the other bees embraced Timon and Pumbaa's way of life. Queen Bee saw what was going on and tried to force the bees to get back to work, but Buzz argued that there was more to life than work. Queen Bee was promptly kicked out of the colony.
In the queen's absence, Timon and Pumbaa became the kings of the colony and let the bees enjoy their newfound "Hakuna Matata" lives. However, things quickly went wrong at the beehive, and Timon, Pumbaa, and Buzz realized that "Hakuna Matata" did not work for bees. As a result, Buzz begged Queen Bee to return to the hive. She forgave him and told him that she would return so long as the bees were loyal to her, took the cost out of their health benefits, and banished Timon and Pumbaa from the colony. The bees did as she had requested, flying the duo far from their territory. With Timon and Pumbaa gone, the bees returned to work, and Buzz was re-hired as Queen Bee's first-class worker.[1]
