Asha's mother is an adult female ostrich. She is the mother of Asha.

Biography

Backstory

At some point, Asha's mother took a mate and laid an egg in a nest on the ground. She eventually had to leave the nest herself because of a certain jackal.

When her egg rolls away, Asha's mother begins to search for it. Eventually, she finds her egg – which has now hatched into a baby ostrich – in the hands of Timon and Pumbaa. She thanks the pair for protecting her egg, and leaves with her baby, whom Timon has dubbed "Asha."
