The anteater is a male anteater.
Due to laziness, the anteater tricked Timon and Pumbaa into hunting bugs for him. However, when he ate their catches and insisted that they must try the competition again, they discovered his scheme and so forced him to regurgitate the bugs he had eaten.
Biography[]
Early life[]
The anteater lived in a Paraguayan jungle.[1]
Tricking Timon and Pumbaa[]
The anteater tricks Timon and Pumbaa into catching bugs for him.
Just as Timon caught a bug called the Gourmetus Salavati and showed it to his friend Pumbaa, the anteater caught the bug with his tongue and pulled it into his mouth, much to Timon's disappointment. He then asked the two if they had anything else to eat and claimed he did not have the energy to hunt for himself. Timon explained just how hard it had been to catch the bug. This led the anteater to praise the duo's hunting skills, sparking arguments between them. In a clever scheme, he arranged for the meerkat and warthog to enter a competition to collect bugs.
Once Timon and Pumbaa brought back large portions of bugs, the anteater returned to count them by eating them. He declared the contest a tie and told the duo that they had to collect more bugs to settle the dispute. However, they saw through his ruse and retaliated by tying him to the ground before squeezing the bugs out of him with a steamroller.
Later, the anteater lay flattened, again complaining about his hunger. Timon decided to give him a bug in order to even the competition between himself and Pumbaa.[1]
Physical appearance[]
The anteater is large and portly, with bright blue fur, pink lips, and bushy black eyebrows. His tongue is exceptionally long and sticky. He has black eyes with yellow sclerae.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Lethargic, gassy, and significantly overweight, the anteater has constant food cravings, but is often lazy when it comes to hunting on his own. He also proves to be quite manipulative, as he was able to create a rift between Timon and Pumbaa, and tricked them into doing the job for him.[1]
